- Whew! I kept my end of the bargain. The site is updated with a new look (well sort of). However, my computer has a major problem since last night. I can't update as much as I had hoped for. I'll try again. Right now, not all updates are perfect. Stay tune.
Have a great Christmas everyone. I'll be back by next year...it's going to be 2005 already!

- A 'new' design for this site is scheduled to go live. At that time, I will also post new photos, news articles, and fan reviews. Update will be up at the latest is this Wednesday (now watch I'll break the promise and end up ticking off everyone - yikes...I should really dig a hole now just in case I need to do some hiding).
- With a number of emails coming from Ivy's fans...I have noticed that the Bright Star of Yesteryear has been picking up quite a few "younger" generation fans in the past several months. Congrats to her - it is just like what her son said, "She is an old and new comer."
Also, more readers are sending in their inputs and comments about the site and things I have written. I love these feedback and inputs. Please keep them coming for this is the only way I know that you care and are reading/visiting this home page

Recent news:
- Ivy was one of the stars who got her hands printed on the HK star hall of fame (I'm not sure what is the official title but it's similar to that of Hollywood). HK just started this hall of fame recently.
Comments:
- Anyone notice that it is almost a one year anniversary for this site? Wow, time flies! On that note, I've been struggling with a new look for this site. I played around with a couple designs but wasn't happy with neither one of them.
Now I'm debating on whether or not I should even change the site look and feel...after all why mess with something that already works right? Maybe a change in the color...I'm thinking purple, but I'm not a big "purple" fan. That colors mean nothing but depression in VN. However, we can look at it the UK way and gives purple a "royalty" meaning. Okay let's go with purple.

Recent news:
- World famous Director Ang Lee gets to meet his idol Ivy Ling Po again at the 40th Golden Horse Award. Lee first encounter with Ivy was when he was 12 years old. Being a shy person, Lee turned red when he met his idol again this time.
- Ivy was not able to find a taxi to attend the Golden Horse Award party, thus the police helped her by taking her there in the police car.
Site update:
- Expect a lot of updates on this site towards the end of December. My final exam will be over on Dec. 18th and I'm planning on updating this web site like crazy after that.

- Over the past few weeks, I have been receiving emails from Ivy's fans about their love for her and this web site. I'm very touched and thank you all for your continue support to Ivy and this site. I noticed that many showed a concern that this site has not been updated for a while. I once again apologize for this. However, I can assure you that I'm not quitting the site. I just haven't had the time to update it yet.
- Ivy will be attending the 2003 Golden Horse Award in December as a guest star.
- Some old news: Ivy & Hu Chin performed in Las Vegas on November 27, 2003 (Thanksgiving Night).
- Ivy & Hu Chin "Butterfly Lovers" performance in Malaysia was a success. Their "Meeting the Fans" session at the mall went well even though the actresses were a bit late. 4 fans went on stage at this meeting and sang the "Visit Ying-tai" song. I heard Anny did quite well on her performance! Ling Po patted her on the shoulder and said "good job". This is what I call "an up-close & personal" with the idol!!!
October 7th:
- ATTENTION IVY'S FANS: For anyone who is flying to Malaysia for Ling Po's performance, you can contact Terence Lee's for more information on how to meet Ling Po in person. Terence's email is [email protected].
Good luck and enjoy your meeting with Ling Po!

- To all visitors: Due to my recent job change and commitment to several school projects, I no longer have the sufficient time to update this web site on a weekly basis. I will try my best to update this site at least once a month.
I would like to express my thank to you all for the continuous support to Ling Po and this web site.

August 15th:
- Since Tuesday's night, August 12th, my computer was infected by the deadly virus that is spreading wildly on the Internet known as 'Blaster Worm'. I was able to get my PC fixed. I would rather be safe than sorry, so I'll not be online for the next couple weeks. I will not response to emails or update this site until the coast is clear again.
If your computer is being infected by this virus, click here for more information on how to remove it.

Starting this month, I'll add a counter reading to keep track of how many hits this site encounters on a monthly basis. Hopefully, we will see a growing or consistent increment every month. It will be interesting.
- Summer session is finally over! I have about a month to work on this site. Nothing major, I don't have time to make a big change to the layout yet. Hopefully, I can catch up on the film reviews.
- Good news for Ivy's fans (non-Taiwan residents): The 'Love Eterne' deluxe package that is currently sold in Taiwan can also be found at the following link. You can purchase this exact version from Poker Industries.com for $49.99 if you live outside of Taiwan.
Love Eterne's Deluxe Version - Taiwan
- And more great news for fans in Taiwan & Malaysia...(isn't it fun to have me back - I just have tons of goodies for everyone): Ivy will return to Taiwan and continue the 'Love Eterne' stage performance with Hu Chin in October 2003.
In addition, she will also come to Kuala Lumpur on October 11th for the 'Liang & Zhu 2003' - which will be staged at Stadium Negara. The most expensive ticket for this show will be sold at $200 (Malaysian dollars).
July 13th:
I've added an extensive review for "Love Eterne" as a support to its recent release by Celestial.
- For some reason, Yesasia.com took the deluxe version off its main SB page. If you would like to purchase this version, click here
July 8th:
- I apologize for not updating this homepage during the past several weeks. It has been hectic between school, work, and David Chiang Dai Wai's television series (Off topic: this guy is looking better as he aged than when he was younger. He is more suitable in drama and comedy roles versus all of his earlier martial arts films).
- More information regarding 'The Love Eterne' release. If you're in U.S. or Hong Kong (the less fortunate ones like me), Celestial promotion package for the DVD deluxe edition includes a perfume bottom. The VCD version includes a foldable fan. If you're in Taiwan (the jackpot winners), then the DVD package include a handbag, 'Love Eterne' music book, VCD karaoke, and I believe a CD as well.
- I promise I'll update this website soon. There are new photos to be added, I'm way behind in film reviews, and I'll will be adding an archive page to this section since I'm sure there is someone out there who would love to read my never ending gibberish
June 1st:
- I am a day late and a penny short, but I still want to congratulate Ivy and her husband on their 37th anniversary. What a milestone and a great accomplishment for these two. My wish to you for another 37 happy years ahead!
- Shaw Brothers's 1963 'The Love Eterne' will be released by Celestial Picture Limited on July 10, 2003. This will be a Deluxe Edition and according to Celestial it will be as follow:
