There are so many diffrent tarot decks to choose from now days, and you can buy your tarot cards online.. My suggestion is you go to the store, and touch the decks before you buy any.. When you find the right deck you will know. It gives you a feeling, you are drawn to that deck. Most people tend to pick out their deck by the art work, or the shape, or size.. But that is not correct to give an accurate reading, you must get the vibe from the deck, and trust me, when you pick up that deck, you will know. It is almost like a calling to you.
Storing your deck also is important. You should be storing your deck not in a wood box, or in the box it came out of. but in a Peice of material, about the size of a bandana, To find out which color suits you, you can visit the astrology section, and see the color for you sign, or use your favorite color. But this wrap you create for your deck shouldn't be just a piece you got from a fabric store, It should be an old bandana, or scarf, or something of yours. If you do need to get a fresh peice and start from scratch, when you purchase that peice Keep it on you, or sleep with it under your pillow for a few days.
Also something you should know, never read off of another persons cards, or let someone read off of yours.
The cards become part of your property, they hold your energy, they are signed to you from the begining touch.
If by some odd chance, someone does use your deck, A good cleansing treatment for those cards is cedar. How you do this is you either buy cedar incense, or you buy cedar in shavings, or chips, (I suggest the shavings or the incense.) Put your cedar shavings in an ashtray and this is best done outside, get a flame going, and blow the majority of the flame out, let it smoulder, Hold each card over the smoke, NOT OVER THE FLAME!!! Your not burning your deck, your purifying it!!!! Do the card, front and back and individualy over the smoke of the burning cedar.
