| Balance To restore and maintain balance of energy in your home. A muli purpose balancing incense, use frequently in each room of your home. Especially good for the bedroom. � oz rosemary � oz sage � oz parsley � oz thyme a few drops of rosemary oil. Mix well in mortar and pedistile. Burn on a piece of lit charcoal. Home Sweet Home To sweeten the home. � teaspoon of honey 1 tablespoon of brown sugar mix together until a paste forms burn on lit charcoal to "sweeten" the home. This is a strong aroma but works well to maintain a sweet energy about your home. Purification Incense This incense can be powdered (use a mortar and pestle or a coffee grinder) or left in a chunky form. It is a mixture of resins, wood and herbs with a dash of essential oil. Don�t forget, a little of this incense goes a long way, so this quantity will be quite sufficient for one purification ritual. 1 teaspoon Frankincense 1 teaspoon Dragon�s Blood resin � teaspoon Myrrh � teaspoon Sandalwood � teaspoon Dill seed 2 or 3 drops of Rose Geranium essential oil If you want to make a larger quantity of this incense, store any leftovers in an airtight glass jar. If you cannot find one or more of the ingredients for the incense, here is a short list of magickal substitutions. (You can change the recipe to suit your taste based on this list if you wish, or add extra herbs or resins.) Substitutions: Gums and Resins: Benzoin, Copal, Gum Arabic Herbs and Woods: Chamomile, Fennel Seed, Lavender, Pine, Rosemary, Tobacco (chemical free, please!) Essential Oils: Chamomile, Peppermint, Lavender, Thyme, Benzoin Purification Oil Make sure you use only pure essential oils for this anointing oil. Fragrant oils often contain chemicals and cannot create the energies you need to work with. Use organic or bio-dynamic carrier oils wherever possible. 10mls carrier oil such as Sweet Almond, Peach Kernel, Jojoba or Grape Seed 5 drops Frankincense oil 5 drops Myrrh oil 5 drops Sandalwood Oil 2 drops Eucalyptus oil 2 drops Camphor oil (optional) Place the carrier oil in an amber or blue glass bottle, then add the essential oils. When you have placed the lid on the bottle, give it a shake to mix the oils together. The oil can be charged by placing on a clear quartz cluster, or you can add a tiny quartz crystal or amethyst crystal into the bottle. If you will be keeping the oil for a considerable time, you may add about 2-3mls of wheatgerm oil. |
