The Dagda, said to be the good god. The Dagda was the creation of Danu (Danu being the great goddess). He was the Irish lord of the land.  Thd Dagda was the Gaelic god for the earth, and the Heavens, and the underworld along with the magic amongst others.
Older appearance with hair of a silver grey tone.  He was father of many, One being Angus.
He posessed a cauldron known as the "Undry", which came from Murias, one fo the Tuatha four mythical cities.
The Dagda  "lord of the land" was a great defender of the lands and performed great deeds in the battle between his family, the Tuatha and the Formors.  He pulls after him a great wheel and a great club and sword, the sword being so large, it is said it would take eight mortal ment to carry it.  Dagda also carried a great harp that had a few names, one and most popular was called "Oak of the two cries", this harp performed more tasts than just music though, it was said in one legend,  by the sound of the Dagda's voice during one of the many attacks between the Tuatha and the Fomors, the harp would leap out of Dagdas hand, and the harp being so great, crushed nine men from the fomorlian side.  Once the harp returned to his hands, the Dagda played the tune of weeping, then the tune of laughter then the tune of victory.
Dagda became king of the Tuatha, following many of his Kinsmen who had retreated to the celtic land of paradise.  As the new full leader, he alloted many of the Kinsmen and underground dwelling, all except his son Angus.  When Angus cought word of what his father was offering, he went to his father, asked also for a place to precide, when his father rejected him, Angus asked to stay in his fathers dwelling for one night and one day.  Come the next day, the Dagda confronted Angus, and asked him to be on his way, Angus explained to his father that night and day were but an eternity, and he would now posess this underground dwelling that the Dagda once owned.  The Dagda soon moved forth to create a new dwelling for himself, and his at that time BoAnn,
(Angus's mother).
