A Spiritual Note Edition 54 - June 30, 2006 - Jumada at-Thani 4, 1427 Peace be upon you. A Spiritual Note One Year On It was on 24 June, one year ago, that the first weekly edition of A Spiritual Note was sent out. Our aim was to start an initiative which we should be able to continue, and which could also be read and understood by readers within a few minutes. The Holy Qur’an and the Hadith advise us as follow: “God does not desire to put on you any difficulty but He wishes to purify you and that He may complete His favour on you so that you may give thanks.” (Qur’an, 5:6) "Only that is binding on you which you are able to do; by Allah, Allah does not get tired but you get tired; and the devotions dearest to Him are those in which the devotee perseveres." (Bukhari, 2:31) By the grace of Allah, we have been able to send out the Note every week to an address list, now comprising about 600 people, and the feedback from readers shows that they are very pleased with this initiative. This week, we are sharing some of our readers’ comments, starting with an inspiring message from the President of the International Ahmadiyya Movement, Dr. Abdul Karim Saeed. Assalamo alaikum, I congratulate your team on its great achievement of reaching the most coveted fiftieth issue of A Spiritual Note. What is most envious for all those who venture into projects of this kind is the continuity and punctuality with which this publication has been published. Many a times I have realized it is Friday when on opening my emails I saw a new edition of your publication. On my part I had the pleasure to acknowledge each of the publications as I received them and most times of making a relevant comment on the material or theme of the Note. The material is always valuable and thought-provoking. I pray to Allah that He continues to bless you all to continue this project for generations to come and thus serve the cause of Islam and its message of peace. I am sure your efforts would make every Ahmadi in the world proud of you. Keep up the good work and be assured that behind your venture will be the prayers of every member of our International Jama‘at. I also take this opportunity
to thank you for giving me the privilege of receiving a personalized message
every Friday. A Spiritual Note A Spiritual Note
that I await all week, How can I follow the
right and straight Path? Every Friday brings
a new ‘note’ in my life, I pray for all those

I would like to congratulate you on bringing out the weekly A Spiritual Note. It is very informative and inspiring. You always send it in time for the spiritual day of Friday, which is so appropriate. You have shown great commitment and dedication by producing it regularly and punctually, which is not always easy to do. I pray that Allah may enable you to continue this service for long, and you may be able to send it to a wider and wider circle of people. Thank you for your efforts. Zahid Aziz ==================== Brother Abid Raza wrote: Assalamu alaikum. Just a short note
to express my heartfelt gratitude for your weekly edition. This has assisted
me week after week to prepare my Khutba for Jumaa'a prayers.
Please continue with your untiring efforts in the propagation of Islam
and educate the masses with true teachings of the Holy Quran and message
of our dear beloved Marhoom Hazrat Mirza Sahib. Khuda Hafiz. ==================== Brother Abdul Santoe, Central Anjuman’s European Zonal Representative, wrote: Dear IVISEP, Assalaamo Alaikum. My heartfelt congratulations with the first anniversary of your spiritual notes. In this cyber era with all those mass information flowing over us, there remains little time to read comprehensive literature. To my opinion your (or better, these short, mostly heavenly spiritual notes) do really comply to the needs of the present. As a result I think you should carry on with this frequency. Abdul Santoe ==================== Brother Ashraf Ali from the Ahmadiyya Muslim Literary Trust, Trinidad and Tobago, wrote: Assalamu alaikum. Congratulations to you and your colleagues for your wonderful effort .May Almighty Allah bless you all and keep you among the foremost in spreading His message. I look forward to your weekly spiritual note and so do those to whom I send it. Ashraf ==================== Brother Akbar Abdullah from the USA wrote: Assalamu alaikum. Thank you for your 50th Edition of A Spiritual Note. Now you have sufficient numbers to publish a book edition with translation into Dutch. be on you, your family, and your jamaat. Take care. Zahoor ur Rahman ==================== Brother Jalal Ud Dean wrote: Dear Editorial Assalaamu 'Alaikum Wr Wb Congratulations for the perseverance to drive this project so far and help spread the words of Allah through means of modern technology - such as Websites and Emails. If only Rasul-Allah had such technologies available to him in his days, I'm certain he would have directed his scribes to do likewise in spreading the words of Allah. There has not been a single issue that disappointed me. Every issue so far has been evolving into becoming works of admiration regarding the dimensions of research that may have gone behind those works. I do similar research and appreciate the time that is on demand. My heartiest congratulations to the editorial and all those dedicated individuals who have in every way contributed to the success of this periodical. May Allah continue to hold His blessings in the team's favour for resounding success in your endeavours. ==================== Ms. Ursine Amattarmoedji wrote: Salaam, I am one of your readers who receive a note every week. I consider this a very good initiative, as I learn much from it. May the Almighty reward you for this, and grant you the wisdom and health to continue with the notes, and I hope to keep receiving the notes every week. Salaam. ==================== And Brother Nasir Ahmad, who replies almost every week to the Notes and advises us about subjects to include, wrote: My dear Riaz, Assalamo alaikum. Wonderful. This is the correct way of introducing good material already published. In this way you can also reproduce commentary from the English translation of the Qur'an by Maulana Muhammad Ali and can refer to it. Well done. With thanks and prayers, ==================== We from the Institute for Islamic Studies and Publications are grateful to everyone who has supported us in whatever way and particularly those who have helped us to prepare and send the Notes out weekly. We are also deeply grateful to Allah for making it possible for us to fulfil our duty in this way. “You should exalt the greatness of God for His having guided you and that you may give thanks” (Qur'an, 2:185). And we pray that we may always be grateful to Him for His many favours. “Most surely God is full of grace to men but most people are not grateful” (Qur'an, 2:243). May Allah Almighty bless all of you with good physical and spiritual health. Ameen! On behalf of the Institute, Riaz Ahmadali Institute for Islamic Studies and Publications A
