4. How to teach Chinese Writing online (Suitable for ISD/NA) This is kind of online teaching. Students could be able to learn Chinese writing at home. Of course, the user may have to register and pay for usage online.

The students are required to develope at lease two databases which are physically separated. The library users can only access these databases by a middle tier. The function of the middle tier should provide at least some functions of transaction management and role based security control. The middle tier can be developed with .NET and COM+ or EJB.
An online system for a restaurant to manage its business. The functions include:
(a) Membership: a loyalty program for the customers
(b) Reservation: can be done by phone, walk in or online
(c) Table arrangement: a GUI showing the table arrangement
(d) Tips calculation: calculate the tips for each individual waiter/waitress

ISO quality system is essentially a workflow management system. The objective of the project is to develop a web-based workflow system to satisfy the specific requirements of ISO 9000:2000. The Hong Kong/China market has a demand for locally developed product which is more appropriate for the language and customization needs.
Students taking this project will have to study the ISO 9000:2000 requirements, be interested in Internet program, and familiar with PHP/MySQL.
