The Venezuelan Institute for Culture and Cooperation (IVCC) is the cultural branch of the Embassy of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

This is a non-profit institute whose main objectives are to teach Spanish to the residents of the island and familiarize them with Venezuelan culture and values.

This Institute has been offering complimentary Spanish classes and some other language-related activities in Jamaica for over 30 years.

Our teachers are Jamaican or native speakers of the language  with experience in the field of teaching Spanish as a foreign language.

The IVCC is coordinated by a Venezuelan Language Specialist selected by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. This teacher is an expert in the field of language teaching and curriculum development.

In February 2005, the IVCC of Jamaica, along with other IVCC's in the Caribbean, had a fresh start:  new programs and a new organization for the courses were introduced in order to accomplish our mission: more and excellent Spanish speaking Caribbean brothers.

There are more changes on the way and we are full of projects and new ideas... we just hope to have you among our students.
