This agreement is made and entered into this ____ day of ___________ in the year _______ by and between Sally Krostal, hereafter called the Seller and/or Breeder, and ___________________________________ , hereafter called the Buyer/Buyers. These terms and conditions are entered into and agreed upon by both the Seller and Buyer, who acknowledge the moral and legal worth of this contract.

AGREEMENT

In consideration of the purchase price of ________, the Breeder transfers all rights, privileges and responsibilities associated with the ownership of the above described puppy to the Buyer.

GUARANTEES BY THE BREEDER

1. This Borzoi puppy is eligible for AKC registration and the Breeder will provide AKC papers, pedigree and photo of sire and dam.

2. This Borzoi puppy is guaranteed for the first five years against any genetic health problem so severe that it prevents the animal from living a normal life as a pet, such as PRA eye disease or hip displaysia. If such a problem occurs, Buyer will receive a refund of 1/2 the purchase price. In the event of a genetic health problem, Breeder only requires 1. a statement from the Buyer's vet, and a copy of medical records and test reports regarding the diagnosis confirming the problem, and 2. proof that the dog has been spayed/neutered. Should the veterinarian state that the health condition was caused by or contributed to by poor nutrition, an accident or injury, or anything beyond the scope of the Breeder's responsibility, the health guarantee will be null and void.

3. If for any reason the Buyer is unhappy with this puppy, Breeder will take it back immediately.

GUARANTEES BY BUYER

1. Buyer agrees to exercise normal care in maintaining this puppy's health. Normal care assumes that the animal will receive an annual exam by a licensed veterinarian and that the Buyer will feed a natural diet or high quality kibble, provide fresh water, exercise this dog in a fenced enclosure, as well as give attention and love to this dog on a daily basis.

2. This puppy will NEVER be permitted to roam at large. This dog will be allowed exercise in a secure fenced yard or field on a daily basis.

3. If Buyer is found to be abusing or neglecting this dog by not following these MOST BASIC guidelines as outlined in terms 1 and 2, the ownership of the dog will immediately revert back to the Breeder who may immediately assume possession of the dog.

4. Buyer agrees to consult Breeder if he/she considers selling, giving away, or euthanizing the dog before any such action is executed. Buyer must offer Breeder the right of first refusal before any proposed disposition of the dog. This does not include any action that may be considered necessary medical treatment under emergency conditions by an attending veterinarian.
