The Pyramid of Chephren at Giza. At one time, the entire structure was covered with polished granite. Over the centuries, the polished granite was removed to build homes and temples. The small cap at the apex of the pyramid is all that remains of the polished granite exterior. |

The Pyramid of Mycerinus at Giza. We climbed down into the pyramid. The passageway is narrow and low, especially for me (6'2")! I never knew that I was clustrophobic until I entered this structure! The chamber itself is plain, and no photography is allowed. |
