The Story:

On Thursday, December 12, 2003AD, I was chopping photo paper into test strips at Sandia’s darkroom when the blade came down onto the tip of my finger. I ran outside the darkroom to see that there was a bubble of blood slowly filling up. I showed my teacher and he told me to go away because he thought it was fake (which he profusely apologized for the next day) just as the bubble of blood broke and bled all over. I washed it, then went to our nurse (not crying the ENTIRE time, just a little teary eyed when I had to put immense pressure on it to stop the bleeding), then my dad picked me up and we went to the doc.

All and all it didn't hurt TOO badly, I thought it would hurt more, but it merely felt like a cut except for having to put presure on. They gave me Kodene which kills the pain, and makes me a little loopy too.

If it keeps bleeding when I change my bandages (which it has) I need to get microscopic surgery, and if it’s not healing I’ll need a skin graft.

How much did I cut? Put a dot halfway down on your fingernail, and halfway across and connect them. I cut that much without bone, althought I can see the tip of my bone when I change the bandage.

Did I mention I didn’t find the rest of my finger? There wasn't any blood on the paper cutter, and we went back to look for the rest, and we looked and looked and looked (as did the rest of the classes all day) but never found it. It would've been too small to sew back on though.

So all and all I thought it was rather amusing, and please don't worry, though feel free to pray! I'd like to be able to type better again, but more importantly play piano soon. Thanx for reading!!

The Pictures:

They're somewhat disturbing so don't scroll down if you do not wish to see them.
Oh, and they're taken with a cheap digital camera so yeah....you'll get the picture (hahahahahaha).
