Mcflurry

So a few months ago on a teacher in-service day, I was awaken by a phone call. I picked it up and my best friend Nick Suski asked if I wanted to go get our hairs cut. Now I was like "yah I'm down with that, mine is getting kind of shaggy too." But he responds, "No dude, I mean CUT." Now I don't know if you knew him, but for YEARS he had this long, soft, silky, perfect hair. So being the good friend that I am, I make sure he's not making the biggest mistake of his life. We'll we decide to go.

We go to barber, and get it cut. Because the store was having a grand opening, haircuts were for sale. We have some money left over, so we decide to go to McDonalds. Nick gets two cheeseburgers, and I get an M&M McFlurry. He finishes eating, and I don't want to waste it, so I figure that since I'm a good biker I could just take it home.

Well I'm riding with one hand, and I'm kind of getting IMPATIENT and so I start eating. Now it takes two hands to eat because of the spoon and cup. Since Nick was on skateboard, he is going pretty slowly. I don't know if ever tried to control a slow bike with no hands, but it is not very easy. Soon the handlebars flip around, and I crash. Yah a big crash.

Nick is like "dude! Are you okay?" And I'm like "DUDE look at my McFlurry!! I SAVED IT!!" I DIDN'T KNOW that I would GET HURT. All that I cared about was saving my TWO-DOLLAR McFlurry, I didn't even think of the consequences. I ask you to put this in your life. You are riding along smoothly, but then you go to Exodus, or a friend shares Gospel. It didn't work with both, either I held on and crashed, or let go and was safe. No matter what, I HAD TO LEAVE ONE BEHIND.

Romans 6:23 says, "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life with Christ Jesus." "For the wages of sin (hold up McFlurry) is death (my crash), but the free gift of God is eternal life with Christ Jesus." SO WHEN YOU ARE FACED WITH THE CHOICE, WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO, LET GO, OR GET HURT IN THE END?
