Amando Galang Dayrit

AMANDO GALANG Dayrit  was born on February 06, 1912 in San Fernando, Pampanga.  He was baptized on May 17, 1912 by Fr. Juan Almario, OSA with his sponsors being his paternal uncle Gregorio Dayrit and Marciana Lazatin.   

Amando received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of the Philippines in 1933.  He was also literary editor of the Philippine Collegian for 1932-33.  Amando was a budding writer and later became a columnist with his “Good Morning Judge!”  However, he succumbed to tuberculosis on August 14, 1944.
