Today is Christmas Day, 2002, and how the world has changed. My daughter got me a DVD player for Christmas which totally surprised and delighted me. Now, I have to figure out how to set it up, use the remote, etc. which will be difficult since I am nearly blind, and the digital age is beyond my digits lately. Later, I'll tell you about the scales I just purchased but can't tell me my weight for I can't see the digital numbers no matter how low I 'scrunch' down to try to see. Woe is me....

In two days, I'll have another birthday (age 61 on February 13). I'm posting today for I'll probably be too depressed when I realize I'm another year older. :) I skipped January, 2003 in my posting here as it's a month I'd just as soon forget. I have had the 'shingles' which is a virus waiting to pounce on sick people who ever had the chicken pox as a kid. It is very painful and not a condition for wusses or wimps. I think the worst is over although there are about six places left that still hurt. Anyone with any old fashioned remedies, please write! Just when I think nothing worse can happen, it does. Such is life.
