9/19/06 Asia Day
Through the bitter cold, AAA members and IUN students came together to celebrate Asia Day - a day full of food & entertainment, promoting Asian Awareness. Despite the weather, the event was a success! Great job to everyone who was able to be there!
10/27/06-10/29/06 F.A.C.T. '06
Friday night through Sunday early morning -
Filipino-Americans Coming Together -- hosted by University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. With well over 600 attendees of 15 participating schools, this conference is aimed at education, enlightening, and empowering delegates on issues dealing with self-identity and cultural awareness. The weekend conference will be a great opportunity for people to attend a variety of eye-opening workshops, to participate in a hot variety show, and to scelebrate the success of the largest Filipino American conference in the midwest at the biggest afterset, "The Blackout" at Urbana's Canopy Club. So be prepared to experience new things, meet great peopple, create lasting memories, and be awakened at FACT 2006! (NO, you don't have to be Filipino to enjoy this!)
We definately had a fun time socializing, meeting new people, learning about our culture, and partying!
11/10/06 Taste of Asia
Despite the hurricane weather, we still put it together to enjoy great food, karaoke, ping-pong, hacky-sacking, choosing the better rice, punjabi battling, having a somewhat organized meeting, etc...Look for the updated news and pictures here and on Facebook!

We will need to form committees to get this rolling.
We'll need a hall of place to have it at, a dj, a speaker, perfomances, a program, and lots and lots of help
