           And then..... who knows?

But, what have I done?

Well, I spent one year at Detachment 560 in the Bronx trying to learn everything I could about being a cadet and the Air Force, because the following summer (Summer 2003) I was off to Field Training (Boot Camp) for 6 weeks in San Antonio Texas, Lackland Air Force Base. It was hot, tiring, hard but a great experience now that I look back on it. I learned a lot about myself, and people and did things there that I don't think I would have been able to do otherwise. It was great, I think everyone should go through something similar, but know that only certain kinds of people would make it through. Overall, a great time, (although  I hated pushups.)
But, right before I went to Texas for basic, I went to Barksdale AFB, LA for some Professional Development Training. I had a whole bunch of fun hanging out with Intel. Officers, Navigators, Pilots, and just other cadets. It made me realize that this was definitely something I wanted to do with my life. Anyway, the below photo is of a bunch of there. I am the short one, duh.
Now, I am back at Detachment 560 trying my best to learn all there is to being an officer so that when I commission in June I won't be totally clueless. And, at the same time am trying to pass on some of what I learned to the cadets that are just starting out and learning. Not too shabby...
