"Picnic Anyone?"

They stepped outside into a cool evening that smelled of pine and dust from the dry, forested hills around them. The night sky was brilliant with stars. They just never shone this brightly around any of the cities they traveled to. It reminded Zac a lot of Tulsa and the bright night sky there, but the temperature would never be this cool, even in the late evening back home. "Wow, this is a beautiful night. You can see the Milky Way across the entire sky."

Lucy's gaze followed his hand as he pointed to the galaxy of stars. She smiled to herself, "It never ceases to amaze me how wonderful the heavens are this time of year. Oh look, there's a shooting star." She watched in fascination as it traveled down to the horizon and disappeared from sight.

They walked hand in hand along the dusty boardwalk until they reached the Hanson SUV. Zac grasped her other hand and pulled her towards him so he could see her face more clearly in the starlight. She was so beautiful it was hard to keep from holding her and kissing her right there.

"So you're a college girl. How much longer will you be working at the resort?"

"I'll be there for about three more weeks before I go back to Seattle and start fall quarter at the U. How long will you be here?"

"We're planning to stay for a couple weeks or more. We've been traveling for several months and really need to crash for a while and do as little as possible before we head home to Tulsa", Zac replied.

"Well then I guess we can spend some time together if you would like. I work week days but have the weekends off. That's why I'm here tonight since it's Friday and I don't have to get up for work in the morning."

"Hey, that's great. Maybe we can do something tomorrow. Do you have any plans?" he asked.

"Not really. I was going to hang out with a few of the other girls working at the Ranch. We like to head over to Lake Pearygin and swim. There's a really nice state park there with great picnic areas, volleyball courts and a diving platform. Would you or your family like to come try it?"

Lucinda was feeling closer to this gorgeous guy all the time, and maybe having a few people around would help her keep this whole interaction in perspective. Her feelings towards him were a little overwhelming and she needed some space to get a grip on what was happening. It was just so good to feel his big hands holding her much smaller ones, being in his arms on the dance floor had been wonderful, and his smile was so warm she felt goose bumps breaking out all over. She definitely hadn't ever reacted so quickly or strongly to a guy before. Deep breaths were in order here!

"That sounds like a lot of fun. My brothers and I love to fool around in the water. We're always trying to beat each other diving and doing flips. I usually win and since I'm the youngest it drives Ike and Tay crazy which is even more fun. I'll ask them about it when they get out here." Zac was thinking about all the fun they could have. Plus seeing Lucinda in a swimsuit would be a definite bonus. 'Whoa again, horny boy, let's get to know her before you jump her bones!'

Zac grinned at Lucinda, "If everybody agrees, I'll arrange for a picnic basket and bring a cooler of pop and beer. Is 2 or 3 a good time?"

"That's perfect 'cause most of the rug rats have headed home by then and we can have the beach to ourselves. The picnic will make a nice early supper. Don't forget sunscreen either. With these clear skies and high altitude the sun can be brutal, although you all look pretty brown already."

Zac grinned again, "Yeah, we catch as much sun as we can. Our work keeps us indoors a lot so spending time swimming and on the beach when we can is a priority. Plus, as you heard, we travel together on buses, which can get really claustrophobic if we don't get outside as much as possible."

Just then they could hear laughter and people coming towards them from the direction of the dance hall. "Here comes my personal herd of elephants," Zac laughed. "My family can't seem to go anywhere without creating some kind of havoc. Maybe it comes from living in a big family and always expecting noise because there always is!"

Lucinda laughed too, just from watching and listening to Zac. His deep voice, funny comments, and gentle hands made her feel really happy. His brothers and their wives seemed like such nice people. She was looking forward to getting to know them all better and hoped the picnic tomorrow would work out.

Amanda and Colleen were doing their best to keep Isaac and Taylor on the boardwalk headed towards the SUV but the brothers were not making it easy. They kept trying to grab their women for quick hugs and kisses instead of just walking quietly to the car. The girls were laughing and the guys were whining as they came up to Zac and Lucinda.

"Okay, well I see this little field trip to the car was a little hazardous for you ladies but you did manage to get yourselves, my brothers, and your clothes all here and in the right places," Zac scoffed. This sent the whole group into fits of laughter and good-natured shoving, not to mention more kissing and groping. Zac gently pulled Lucinda into his embrace and out of harm's way.

"Listen up Hanson family. Lucinda has invited us to a picnic at a lake near here tomorrow. Who would like to join us?" Everyone thought that was a great idea and another chance to spend some time just relaxing together without the younger siblings around. The whole Hanson clan was awesome, but it was fun to be together as the oldest brothers and have some adult conversation. Having wives and girlfriends with them was even better. God knows, Hanson men LOVED their women in more ways than one. Pun intended!

"Well, we better get going now. These horny brothers of mine need to get home and catch their beauties sleeping. Maybe by picnic time they will mellow out a little. I hope all this playing around hasn't bothered you too much. Hansons can be a little overwhelming to people who don't know us well," Zac smiled down at her.

"I think you and your family are terrific. I'm really looking forward to the picnic. What room are you in, and I'll call you around noon to set a time and place to meet."

"I'm in the main building in Room 207. Noon is a good time. We're night owls but I'm usually up by then," he replied.

"That sounds great. Well, it was so nice meeting you, even if was an accident. I had a nice time with you, and your family," Lucinda offered softly.

Zac grinned again and leaned down to kiss her cheek. "The pleasure was all mine. I'll see you tomorrow, and don't forget, its Room 207."

Lucinda pulled away from him reluctantly and watched as everyone piled into the big SUV. Zac opened his window and said good bye again as Amanda got the car into reverse and backed out into the street. Lucinda waved and watched as they left. She sighed happily and headed back to Three Fingered Jacks to find her cabin mates and see what they thought about this guy Zac and his wild family. She was feeling really lucky right now. 'Maybe this is the one,' went through her mind as she started humming the "Boys of Summer."

******************

'Good morning out there everyone in KCHE country. It looks like another clear hot day is on the horizon. Temperatures are expected to reach 95 or higher today in the tri-county area.' Lucy groaned and rolled over to hit the snooze button on her clock radio. Peeking at the time, she was at least thankful it said 9 am and not her usual weekday roll-out at 6. She stretched and smiled thinking about last night and meeting Zac Hanson and his family. It was still hard to believe that she could fall so fast and hard for a guy in just a few hours' time, especially with his older brothers and their wives looking on!

Lucy was really looking forward to the picnic today and a chance to see if her attraction to Zac was real and not just the magic of one evening. She stretched one more time and sat up. Time to get moving, hit the shower, and plan her outfit for today. Colleen and Amanda were both really attractive so she needed to look extra sharp. No slouching in the wardrobe and makeup department today!

Her roommates had all agreed that Zac was a real hottie and definitely worth getting to know. She grinned thinking this was going to be fun even if things didn't work out with Zac. It was obvious his family had a really good time together and she was looking forward to just playing around with other young adults. Catering to the well-to-do parents and spoiled kids at the Flying Horseshoe often left her wanting the company of her peers. Not that she didn't enjoy her job, but being with people her own age was just more enjoyable.

Lucy got up and headed for the small bathroom trying not to wake up the other three girls in her cabin. She showered using her favorite DKNY soap and body lotion, and blow-dried her long thick hair. After brushing her teeth and applying light mascara and rose blush, she found herself at her chest of drawers searching for just the right t-shirt and shorts. After flipping through several things she found her favorite cut-off jeans shorts and a rose pink tank top that would go nicely over her white string bikini. She didn't tan easily but the white bikini did emphasize the light tan she had managed to acquire over the past two months.

Running back to the bathroom, she slipped on the bikini and clothes, and quickly french-braided her hair, leaving a few feathery tendrils across her forehead and temples. Returning to the main room, she grabbed her favorite Doc Marten sandals, found her sunglasses and headed out the door to the staff dining hall. She needed to have coffee, eat breakfast, and do her usual Saturday personal stuff, in that order. It was already 10am so she just had a couple hours to wait until she could call Zac. Her heart skipped a few beats thinking about him and last night. It felt so good to be in a man's arms again. It had been several months since she had dated anyone what with her hectic schedule at school and nearly full-time job. Her flirting skills were a little rusty but this afternoon promised to be a great chance to get them back. Lucy smiled in anticipation and almost skipped on her way to breakfast and much needed coffee.

Meanwhile, in Room 207, Zac was beginning to stir. As he awoke warm memories of a soft, sweet female body crossed his mind. He remembered the way that it felt to dance to a slow rhythm holding Lucinda close, feeling her rounded, warm body move against him, and smelling her sweet citrus scent. Zac's heart started to pound a little harder with those thoughts and he could feel other things getting harder too. 'It's been a while since I've had my own female company. Today was absolutely what the doctor calls for. Seeing Ike and Tay's hot wives in swimsuits and shorts all summer has strained my efforts at being the polite brother-in-law to the limit. Being able to focus on my own "woman" today is gonna be great!'

Thinking about Lucinda in a swimsuit and seeing her curvy body in next to nothing was really getting to him. He reached under the sheet and caressed his swelling penis. Just thinking about her full lips, firm breasts, round ass and slender legs was almost too much for him. 'Okay it's time for a little Zac one-on-one here.' He reached underneath his boxers and began to stroke his penis. Zac thought more about his close dance with Lucinda, feeling her body against him, and his stroking increased. Groaning, he kept going until he could feel his hips begin to jerk. Release came quickly. His breathing and heart beat slowed gradually, but warm thoughts of 'his Lucy' continued. There was something special about this girl. He was anxious to get to know all about her and maybe get lucky enough to earn her love. He settled back into the warm bed and drifted back to sleep with a satisfied smile on his lips.

******************

Riiiiing, riiiiiing! Zac woke with a start and glanced at the clock while reaching for the room phone. 'Oh god, it's noon! This must be Lucinda calling and I'm not even awake yet!' He picked up the phone, "Hanson hotline, Zac speaking." 'Geez, where did that come from! Too many years being a smart ass teenager!'

"Zac?" asked a quiet voice.

"Hi, Lucinda?" he answered.

"Yes, this is Lucy," she chuckled.

"Sorry about that. I just woke up and the phone caught me off guard. As a kid I always had fun joking around on the phone. I'm sorry if that bothered you. I just slipped back into a bad habit," Zac apologized.

"Oh no, that's okay. It's actually pretty funny," she giggled softly.

"Well, thank you for being so gracious. I can be a little dumb first thing in the morning when my brain is not engaged," he replied.

Lucy laughed again, "Hey being funny is always cool! Are you still interested in the picnic today?"

Thinking back to earlier this morning, Zac grinned, "I can't wait to see you again. All of us are looking forward to the picnic and spending more time together with just us adults. I always kind of feel like the 'fifth wheel' so having you along will be a real pleasure for me. What time should we meet you?"

Lucy felt a warm tingle run through her body hearing his nice words and mellow voice. "Should we meet in the parking lot at 3? It only takes a few minutes to get to the lake from here and that will still give us a few hours of full sun for swimming and stuff."

"That sounds great. We'll take two cars so we don't have to all mash into the SUV. Do you have any special requests for the food? Our favorite picnic food is fried chicken, potato salad and chocolate cake. I'll run into town and grab beer, pop and ice too."

Lucy replied, "That sounds perfect. I'll bring a bottle of my favorite chardonnay."

"I'll get extra wine too. I forgot that Colleen and Amanda would rather sip wine instead of slurp beer with us guys. You're going to fit right in to their little circle. I just hope they don't scare you off with any 'wild' Zac stories. My family loves to exaggerate about my 'wild and crazy' ways," he chuckled.

Lucy laughed, "After seeing your brothers in action last night, I'm guessing that there are lot more than just 'Zac' stories to share. I'm pretty good at getting to the juicy details so I'll make sure they give their husbands' exploits equal time. After all it takes more than two to tango."

'My gosh, where did that come from? He's going to think I've got a one-track mind!' she winced to herself.

Zac laughed off her last remark, "Yeah, Ike, Tay and I have had our fair share of adventures. I'm sure their wives will fill you in on all the dirt. Just keep an open mind. We all had some pretty serious fun before they got married. It's hard not to, surrounded by so many willing women."

That statement sent another jolt through Lucy, although this time she wasn't sure she liked what she heard. "You and your brothers are really attractive but what do you mean about 'so many willing women?'"

'Oops!' thought Zac, 'I guess Lucinda doesn't realize who we are.' "Hey don't even worry about that. It was a while back and we were pretty young. I'll fill you in on the details later if you really want to know."

He sounded sincere, and the past didn't really matter today. She said, "I'm just glad you want to spend some time with me today. Let's just have some fun okay?"

Wow, this woman was more fascinating all the time. Not too many chicks could let go of 'the other women' that easily. "Sounds like a plan! See you at 3. Oh, I hope you don't mind some toys. We Hansons love our floaties and super soakers, so be prepared to get wet!"

Lucy giggled, "Okay, but I have to warn you, I'm an ace with water guns so look out!"

"Whoa, sounds like a challenge! You're on lady. I can hardly wait!" Zac chuckled. "So see you in a couple hours."

"Bye Zac."

They both hung up thinking 'This is going to be great. I can hardly wait!'
