Chapter ninety-eight:
Luke finished shaving and tidied the bathroom accordingly, after his shower and
shave.
He walked down the hall and into his room. He put away his comb, hair
gel and various other items which we out of place.
He stood with his hands on his hips for a moment before deciding it was
time for breakfast.
He knew it was early, and didn’t expect Zac to be awake, but he wasn’t
sure about everyone else.
He jogged down the stairs and into the kitchen, where he found Becky and
Jenna sitting together at the table.
“Good morning, girls.” He smiled. Leaning down and kissing Jen. “What do
you girls have planned?”
“Well, we thought we might go shopping…” Jen smiled at him.
“Sounds fun. Is this a ‘girls only’ outing or
am I allowed to come too?”
“You want to come shopping?” Jen asked. “Really?”
“Sure.” He shrugged, sliding into the booth next to Jen, slipping his
arm around her shoulders. “Can I make a proposition?”
“Of course.” Becky laughed.
“How about we go shopping, then we can take in a movie this afternoon?
You girls could decide.”
“That would be great.” Becky shrugged. “I’ll try to talk Zac into it.”
“I can do it.” Luke suggested. “I’ll just tell him you girls are going
swim-suit shopping. He’ll jump at the chance.”
Jenna laughed. “Oh great. Is that why you’re
coming with us?”
“No! Of course not!” Luke laughed. “I just
thought you would want to spend the day with your very loving, not to mention
very sexy boyfriend while he is in town.” Luke teased, draping an arm around
Jen.
“Sounds like a plan. I’ll ask him to go when he gets here.” She teased.
Becky laughed and pushed herself up from the table. “You two are
adorable.”
”You know, why don’t we just hang around here? Isaac and Christy are leaving,
why don’t we just hang out?” Jenna suggested.
“Yeah, we could go swimming!” Becky said, glancing out the window at the
lake. “It would be fun.”
Luke shrugged. “Whatever you girls want.”

He already had plans for a small gathering of friends at the house, and
he wanted to be sure that his older brother was leaving.
”You’re going to look after Zac, the girls and Luke, right? Because if not it
isn’t too late to call Jimmy-“ Isaac said, grunting as
he lifted one end of Christy’s largest suitcase.
“And you’re going to be here, right? You’re not going to be out all
night?”
“Yes!”
”And no wild parties?”
Damn. How did he know?
“No wild parties.”
“I know that. I’m just… making sure. It’s important.”
“I know.”
“It’s just that we’re supposed to be looking out for these girls, and if
anything happens to them… well, it’s not going to be good. It puts all of our
lives in danger. Not to mention the woman I love, and
the girl Zac is clearly in love with, and one of our best friends…”
“Yes.”
“Now come on, you’re going to miss your flight.”
As if on cue, Christy emerged from the house, carrying a large purse.
“That was fast, I was going to help pack the car…”
“What’s up with him?” Christy whispered.
“He’s got some bug up his ass.”
“Oh… then you can take the front seat.” Christy smiled and opened the
back door.
“Yeah, thanks.” Isaac laughed.
