Chapter seven::
After an incredibly long and early flight, several hours of jet lag and gallons of coffee later, they arrived in Tulsa.
The girls waited patiently and excitedly while they watched the guys perform and afterward, sat with them in the living room of their home.
“What’s wrong?” Jenna asked.
“Did the performance not go well?” Becky followed.
“No,” Taylor snorted. “It was awful.”
“It sounded good to me.” Becky tucked her legs up on the sofa.
“It would have been good if someone wasn’t late with his back up vocals.” Isaac mumbled.
“Excuse me! I wasn’t late! You were off tune!” Zac shouted, “And Taylor’s whole sexy groan attempt was way off!” Zac accused.
“Fuck off,” Taylor hissed.
“Whatever. I’m not dealing with this shit.” Zac stormed from the room.

Christy sat on Isaac’s bed.
He was pacing the room furiously, ranting about the appearance.
She sat intently hanging on his every word.
“Come here,” She cooed. “Sit next to me.”
“This was our first promo and it went horribly wrong!” He fumed.
“Come here.” She insisted, getting up on her knees.
He sat down next to her. She reached up and massaged his shoulders. “Not everything went wrong…”
“Give me one thing that didn’t go wrong.” The anger and tension was slowly leaving his body.
“You looked really cute in that outfit.”
He laughed. “Thanks, I guess.”
“Come on, let’s do something to get your mind off it.”
“Like what?”
“Is there a mall around here?”
“Yeah. Of course.”
“Okay. Do you feel up to that?”
“Sure.”
“Okay. Let me grab my lip gloss and purse and we’ll be set.”

Becky made her way through an old barn in the backyard where equipment and various other things were stored.
“Zac?” She called, entering the back room.
He was sitting on a stool twirling a drumstick. “What?” He growled. His voice softened when he saw her standing in the doorway with her arms hugging her sweater tightly. “Becky… What are you doing here?”
“I came to see if you were okay. Maybe if you want to talk…” She entered the room further.
“I’m okay.” He stood up and paced the room. “I’m just really pissed off.” He kicked the nearest crate, which happened to be the one holding the door open.
