Chapter two hundred and eighty five:

Taylor finished walking his date home after their date. He walked slowly back towards his car, whistling and jingling his keys in his pocket.
At last, when he reached his car, he sat in the driver’s seat, staring up at Bella’s apartment building.

He had taken a complete chance with asking her out at the coffee shop, but once the date had begun, he knew it hadn’t been a mistake.

He had almost backed out at the last minute.

He had nearly called her and cancelled.

However, the moment she answered the door, he knew he had made the right decision to proceed with the date.

She had answered the door wearing a simple soft green dress, which hung elegantly on her pale skin.

The neck was low and gathered below the bust with an empire waist. Her strawberry blonde hair hung in soft waves around her pale shoulders.

Taylor had recognized in the coffee shop that she was pretty, but seeing her outside work made him realize just how beautiful she really was. At that moment she took his breath away, and continued to do so all night long.

He could have jumped her right then and there.

However, in the urge not to rush things, he mustered all the restraint he could.

She had invited him in for coffee, and proved her sense of humor whilst mocking the idea that she worked at Starbucks and was brewing coffee for him in her own home.

Her apartment was modestly decorated, and yet still looked as though it could have been in a magazine.

They had shared cups of coffee before going to dinner.

Taylor personally had felt the restaurant was far too over priced, but he didn’t complain.

He was interested in knowing every detail about her.

She wanted to be an actress more than anything else in the world and had moved from a small town in Indiana, leaving her two sisters and parents behind, to move to the west coast and pursue an acting career.

He supplied few details about himself, still slightly reluctant to allow her into his life in the event that either things didn’t work out or that she wasn’t who she said she was. He eagerly spoke about his band and their music, and she seemed to recognize this as a weak spot to get him to be more open with her.

By the time dinner was over he was incredibly impressed by her personality and was quickly realizing that he liked her more and more by the minute.

After dinner, he explained that he had a connection to get them into a local concert.

He personally thought the music was lousy, but they had a good time none-the-less.

She seemed very pleased to be there. In her own subtlety shy way, she flirted with him.

They laughed and danced together happily.

Midway through the concert, he stopped to watch her dance.

She swayed to the music, closed her eyes and let the music move her body.

He couldn’t keep the smile from his lips.

At that precise moment, he realized he liked her. He felt relaxed in her presence and he wanted more than anything to ask her out again, only to see her smile.

She stopped dancing, realizing he was watching her, and tossed her head back, laughing. She had a soft musical laugh that caused him to walk to her and wrap his arms around her.

He was suddenly nervous, and not wanting to rush things, he placed a soft kiss on her shoulder and pulled her close to dance to a slower song.

It could have been the music, or the alcohol taking effect in his veins, but he came to the epiphany that he had not been equally as happy since he was with Jenna.
