Chapter two
hundred and two:
Becky got out of
bed the next morning, unable to keep a smile from her lips. Zac was sprawled
out on his side of the bed, on his stomach, snoring loudly. His arms and legs
were stretched around him. He had a ridiculous grin on his lips.
Becky gathered a
sheet around her, running her hand across his broad shoulders.
He stopped
snoring long enough to grunt in response, then went straight back to snoring.
Becky slipped
out of bed and snuck off into the bathroom to shower.
When she was
finished, she dried her hair and combed it neatly. She used two bobby pins on
each side to pin her hair back in twists just above each ear.
She checked her
reflection in the mirror and smoothed her sundress down over her hips, unable
to hide a smile.
She walked back
out into the bedroom, and found the bed in a complete rumpled mess, but
otherwise empty.
She walked out
into the main room of the pool house. Zac was sitting on a stool at the counter
in nothing put a pair of flannel pajama pants. He was shoveling cereal into his
mouth, studying a battered copy of ‘Modern Drummer’.
Becky smiled and
walked over to him, with a smile. She sat down on his knee.
“Babe. Are you okay?”
“Yeah, fine.”
“There’s no…
soreness or anything? I heard-“
“I’m fine.” She
laughed. “It’s sweet that you’re so concerned.” She put her arms around her
shoulders. “Last night was… really… great.” She smiled. “Really
great.” She was a little sore,
but wasn’t about to admit it. It has been totally worth it.
“I know.” Zac
grinned. “I’m glad it was good for you too.” He put his free arm around her
waist and hoisted her up on his knee further.
“It was
definitely good for me.” Becky agreed.
“I want to take
you out tonight.”
“What
for?”
“To celebrate, I
guess. And because I want to. Please?”
“Okay.” Becky
smiled.
Zac grinned.
“What?” Becky
asked, in confusion.
“Nothing. I just… I like being able to picture you
naked whenever I want.”
“Zac!” Becky playfully smacked his arm.
“What? You’re
hot, it’s a compliment!”
