Chapter one
hundred and eighty seven:
Isaac had moved
from his window seat to the aisle seat, so he could periodically lean into the
aisle and try to catch a glimpse of his fiancée.
“Nothing.” Isaac felt himself blush slightly.
Isaac shrugged, trying to hide his embarrassment. “I’m just curious.”
“What about
Zac?”
“Are you kidding
me? He passed out as soon as the plane took off. I’m surprised you can’t hear
him snoring.”
Isaac laughed at
that.
“So,
any big plans for the bachelor party?”
“No, and don’t
get any ideas.”
“But I already-“
“Don’t even
think about it. No strippers, no bars, no groupies-“
“No fun?”
Isaac sighed. “I
don’t see what I have to celebrate.”
“How
about your last chance to be single and free?”
“But I want to
get married, I don’t want to be a bachelor, I love Christy and I want to spend
the rest of my life with her, you know?”
“No, actually I
don’t. I love being a bachelor.”
“I don’t want to
be with anyone else.” Isaac shrugged. “I want to be with Christy. No other girl
could compare.”
“But you hardly
know that-“
“Do you have
some kind of problem with me marrying her?” Isaac narrowed his eyes at his
brother.
“No of course
not,”
Isaac laughed.
“You’re just telling me this now? Five days and we’re married Taylor, a little
late for advice.”
“I know that.
I’m sure you’ll be happy with Christy. I’m not trying to talk you into it, I’m just trying to explain the full weight of your
decision.”
“I know the full
weight of my decision.” Isaac paused. “Wait. You’re just trying to talk me into
going to a strip bar, aren’t you?” He narrowed his eyes.
Isaac laughed.
“No, I’d rather do something more low key. Video arcade, or going to a
concert.”
“Alright… Let’s
do that then. I’m sure someone we know is playing.”
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Christy was
standing next to the luggage rack, waiting for any sign of their luggage.
Taylor and Zac
had gone off in search of luggage carts and to see if the van they had rented
had arrived.
Christy sat down
next to her fiancé on a hard bench, and looped her arm through his.
He smiled at her
briefly, before turning his attention to the conveyor belt with the luggage on
it.
“Jen, what are
you wearing for your date with Luke?” She asked.
Jenna blushed slightly.
“It’s not a date, we’re just-“
“I can do your
hair!” Becky offered with excitement.
“Really, I think
I’ll just go as I am, I-“ Jen began to protest.
“I can help you
pick out something new to wear.”
“I have a really
cute dress that could work!” Becky offered. “My blue one with the cute little
bow on the front-“
“I love that
dress!” Christy interjected. “It’d be perfect.”
“I really think-“ Jen tried, but was interrupted once again.
“I think I have
a pair of shoes that will match,” Christy spoke.
“Heels? I think that would be too
uncomfortable.” Becky replied.
“No, they’re
flats. Peep toes, and they’re so cute.”
Jenna began to
protest, but in the end sighed and dropped her head into her hand. “Thanks
guys.”
Isaac jumped up suddenly and crossed to the luggage carrousel. “Who had the
luggage with the pink leopard print?”
“Me!” Becky
stepped forward and took the bag Isaac held out.
