Chapter
one hundred and sixty seven:
Zac had insisted he should share a room
with Becky and had managed to convince Isaac that it was the safest solution to
divide the six of them into groups of male and female as it would ensure the
girls were protected and safe at all times.
Jen jumped up from the sofa with a gasp.
He
glanced quickly around the apartment, finding it pitch dark and a cheesy horror
movie on the television.
“You alright?” He asked with raised eyebrows.
“Yeah.” She laughed. “Just scaring
the shit out of myself.”
“Sounds
like fun…” He set down his coffee and removed his sweater. “Well, do you feel
like going out?”
“Out? Where?” She asked tugging at her
pajama top.
“A
couple of friends of mine are playing a show down the street. They’re set to go
on in about an hour, so if you want, we can go for a couple of hours or so…”
“What
band is this?”
“Koi Pirates.” He paused briefly. “They’re pretty hard core
punk, but they’re pretty good, actually.”
“I’d
love to get out of this stupid hotelroom for a couple
of hours. Let me get dressed?”
“Yeah,
I need a minute to shower anyway.”
“Ok,
good. What do I wear to a hard core punk concert?” She laughed.
“I
honestly couldn’t tell you.” He smiled and drained the remainder of his
cappuccino.

After
he got out of the shower, Isaac found Christy pouring a freshly brewed pot of
coffee into two mugs that had been borrowed from the tour bus.
”Ah, that smells amazing.” He observed.
“It’s
complimentary hotel coffee.” She replied. “It always smells good, but tastes
awful.”
“Honey,
if it has caffeine in it, it sounds good to me.” He wrapped his arms around her
and kissed her cheek. “How was the show tonight?”
“Amazing
as always.” She said without skipping a beat. She turned around and handed him
a mug of coffee. “I’m so glad to have been out someplace instead of stuck in a
tour bus or a hotel.”
”Yeah, but in less than a month from now we’ll be off on our honeymoon.” Isaac
pointed out, making his way to the seating area and plopping down on the
overstuffed chair.
“Tell
me about it.” Christy remarked. “We haven’t even discussed where we want to go
let alone planned anything.”
He
grinned.
“What?”
She asked, recognizing the expression on his face. “Is that a good thing that
we haven’t planned a honey moon?”
“I’m
not saying that.”
“Then
why are you-“ She stopped. “What did you do?”
“I
already planned the honeymoon.” He shrugged, the grin never fading from his
lips.
“Yeah? When?!” She asked in alarm.
“When we first started planning the wedding. I booked the flight and
everything.”
“Where
are we going?”
“That,
I can’t tell you.” He took a sip of his coffee.
“You’re
going to surprise me with a honeymoon?” She laughed. “We aren’t going to the
set of Star Wars or anything are we?”
He
laughed. “No of course not!”
”Okay, then what can you tell me?” She took the mug of coffee from him and
placed it next to her’s on the coffee table.
“I
can tell you that it’s very romantic.”
She
climbed slowly onto his lap. “Yeah? Well I can tell
you that you’re about to get so laid for that.”
