Chapter One hundred and Thirty three:

Jenna was sitting next to Taylor on the plane. Christy and Isaac of course had wanted to sit together to discuss wedding details and at the last minute, Zac wanted to sit with Becky, so Jen had no choice to sit with Taylor.

He had slept fitfully throughout the first half of the flight, with his arms crossed over his chest.

Jenna laughed at him, when his face contorted to uncomfortable positions. This caused him to simply glare at her with one eye open and demand “How the hell did I get stuck sitting with you anyway?”

Jenna pointed out that if he stayed awake for more than thirty seconds, she wouldn’t have to laugh at him.

You going to eat those peanuts?” He asked suddenly.

She looked up from her book with raised eyebrows and a grin on her lips.

Taylor sighed. “Oh come on, be mature here! You heard me!”
Jenna laughed. “Fine, you can have my nuts. I think you need them more than I do, anyway.” She pushed the small back towards him on the little desk the Stewardess had given her.

Taylor opened the bag and sat chewing loudly. “Want some?”

“No thanks, Tay. I think you need all the nuts you can get.” She teased with a smile.

“Yeah, right.” Taylor rolled his eyes. “Any big plans with Luke when you get to Tulsa?”

“Not really. I’m not sure…” She began. “I hope so.”

“You miss him, right?”

“Yeah, but I’m not one of those sappy girly-girls who gets all mushy and gross when they miss their boyfriends.”

Taylor laughed. “Yeah, you do.”

“I do not!” She protested.

“Alright, alright.” He laughed. “Don’t get upset.”

“I’m not getting upset. I just don’t see how you can claim to be so mature when clearly you’re acting like a child.”

Taylor laughed. “Wow, you really get upset when I talk about Luke, huh?”

She narrowed his eyes. “Shut up or I’ll make more jokes about your nuts.”

Taylor laughed harder and flicked a nut at her.

Becky was sitting on a bench in the middle of the Tulsa airport. Jenna was seated on her left, and Christy was on her right as they waited for the boys to return with a cart and their luggage.

Jenna sighed heavily and dug her cellphone out of her purse, to check it again for the millionth time.

“He’ll call.” Becky assured her.

“I know he will. I just wish he would call now.” Jenna sighed. “I’m pathetic aren’t I?”

“No, you’re not pathetic. You just really care about him.” Becky put her arm around her best friend.

“Oh my god, what the hell is that?” Christy asked.

“What?” Becky turned.

“That.” Christy pointed just as Isaac and Zac emerged from the crowd, riding two carts through the terminal.

Taylor was following with a third cart, piled with luggage, laughing as his brothers attempted to race.

Isaac came to a screeching halt a few feet away, seconds before Zac arrived. He threw his hands up in the air. “I won!”

“You cheated! You had the lane advantage!” Zac protested. “I had to dodge old ladies!”

Christy laughed and stood to kiss her fiancé. “Congratulations, honey. Your maturity is astounding.”

“Yeah, but I kicked my brothers’ asses.”

“You did. Wonderful.” She teased, giving him a small hug.

“Don’t I get anything?” Zac pouted, facing Becky.

She laughed. “Yeah, you get a girlfriend who is pretending she doesn’t know you.”

Taylor laughed. “That’s sad, Zac.”
