Chapter one hundred and fifteen:
Jenna was laying upside down on her bed writing in her journal.
Luke had yet to call, but a part of her doubted that he would even
bother.
Once he got off the plane in
And Jen knew that, and she knew he was extremely busy; pushing himself to take
college classes and work part time, but she couldn’t herself: She missed him
unbearably.
She sighed.
She had been trying to write how she felt for an hour now, and all she had
accomplished was the date.
And she wasn’t even sure if that was accurate.
She turned onto her back and looked up at the ceiling.
She hated her behavior.
When Luke was there, she should have been happy.
She should have done anything and everything that would make him want to stay,
and perhaps he would have.
She groaned out loud and erased the thought from her mind quickly.
Luke left because he had other
obligations, not because he didn’t want to be with her.
Jen was interrupted from her thoughts by a knock at the door.
“Jen? You in there?” Christy
asked.
“Go away!” Jen replied. She wasn’t in the mood to listen to
Christy belittle her.
“No, I’m serious. Can we just talk for a minute? I’m sorry bout
what I said earlier… Really.”
Jenna sighed and pushed herself up off the bed. “No you’re not.”
“I am, I swear. I come in peace.” Christy shouted through the
door.
Jenna crossed the room and opened the door, “What? What is it?”
“I am sorry, you know that.
I didn’t mean anything by what I said earlier… Luke is a great guy who
cares a lot about you… he has a cute butt too.”
Jenna narrowed her eyes. “What do you want?”
“Do you have any alcohol? I have no way of getting to the store, with the body guard
here, and I just had a fight with Isaac…”
Jenna sighed and crossed the room to the dresser.
She opened the top drawer where she kept her underwear and rooted through it.
“You’re going to owe me on this one.”
“I’ll owe you, I swear. I’ll buy you a whole case of liquor. You
name it.”
Jenna sighed and removed two bottles of Vodka from her drawer,
handing them to Christy.

Zac walked alongside Becky as they made their way through a garden park in
downtown LA.
It had been a beautiful night, and their entire date had gone perfectly.
She begged him to take her for a walk, and he agreed, wanting to
prolong the evening, and wanting to buy himself more
time to be with her and tell her what he wanted to say.
As they left the restaurant, it had been quite cool. He draped his
jacket around her shoulders, and even though it was far too large for her tiny
frame, he thought she looked cute.
“Becca? Can we sit?”
She smiled, “Of course Zaccy.”
She followed him to a bench and carefully sat next to him. “Are
you going to finally tell me what you’ve been trying to say all night long?”
Zac smiled at that. “Okay…”
“Is it bad?”
“No… it’s just… kind of hard to say.”
“How can it be hard to say?” She moved closer to him. “You always
said I could tell you anything. Why wouldn’t it work the same way?”
He smiled at that. “You’re right. I just don’t want to scare you.
I know we’re young and everything…”
She laughed. “You’re making it sound like I’m pregnant or
something.”
He smiled, and leaned forward, kissing her squarely on her lips.
Becky giggled and kissed him back. “Tell me.”
“Okay… I’ll just come out and say it…”
“You’re stalling.”
He laughed. “Yeah. Listen… I… love you.”
Becky froze. “You…”
“I love you. I know, we’re young. But I
love you. I love everything about you. I love that you’re so sweet and caring.
And I love that you always try to be optimistic. I love that we can be totally
ourselves, totally natural. I love you, and I love everything about you.”
“Zac…” She drew in a deep breath. “I love you too.”
“You do?”
She bit her lower lip. “Yeah, I do.”
