Chapter 3 - Cecilia
Okay, well um...how do I say this? Plane rides stink! Yeah, that about sums up all the pent-up rage of travelling from Crescent City to Boston! For starters, the meal was fish! ***AUTHORS NOTE: Never eat airline fish!***
But that, (as hard to believe as it may seem) was not the worst thing, I was sitting next to this guy, he looked like what I imagine Sirius Black from Harry Potter would look like, with this black hair that was waist long and wild black eyes. And I had the good luck to be seated next to him! There I was, minding my own business and he starts screahing at the flight attendant because he didn't want to shut down his lap top and I was dragged into it. And even worse was that the guy I ran into at the airport saw everything! He even laughed at me! I was so humiliated! Finally the plane landed and I made a hasty escape.
I ran my fingers through my hair as I made my way into the lounge. Have you ever noticed that when you're in ahurry, the luggage carousel people without fail, manage to put your stuff on last? Cause that's what happened. Eventually I gave up waiting and opted for phoning Louisa and Sweeney. I finally found a payphone and dialled the number that seemed burned into my memory. "Hello?" Came a nasal voice. "Oh uh, hi Roxanne, can I speak to Louise?" The was a clack as the receiver hit the benchtop and I could hear the distant click - clacking of Roxy's heels on the linoleum. "Hello?" I sighed, there was the voice I knew and loved. "Hey Lou!" She let out a small shriek. "Oh my god! CC?" "Yup! I just got to Boston!" "Oh my god! It's so great to hear your voice" "Ditto, it was really hard leaving you guys" She laughed. "Yeah, I know we agreed no goodbyes...but..." I smiled smugly. "I saw you two at the park" She giggled. "Sorry, we couldn't help it! Oh Sweeney's here, he wants to talk. Love you, bye" "Love you too Lou" She giggled and handed the phone to Sweeney. "Hey babe, how are you?" I groaned. "Yeah, okay I guess" "What's up?" "Oh, nothing I guess...thanks for the banner" He laughed. "Yeah, that was Danny's idea, she, Jo and Lou painted it" "Well it meant a lot to me..." My attention was diverted as I noticed the blond guy standing beside me. He smiled. "Uh hi..." I smiled. "Hi" I turned back to the phone. "Look Sweeney, I've gotta go, I've gotta find a cab going to..." I trailed off as I realised who the blond kid was. "Uh...I've gotta find a cab to Harvard..yeah I love you too. Okay, bye" I turned back to the blond guy who was smiling at me. "I'm guessing you're going to Harvard as well" He said. I grinned. "Yup...don't tell me you are?" He grinned. "Uh huh, look, don't worry about the cab, I'll give you a lift" I blinked at him. "Uh...I can get there fine" He smiled. "Come on, surely you'd prefer a limo to a cab..." I gaped at him. "Limo? Hell yeah! Point the way!"
The long, black limousine inched up the driveway of the Harvard campus. "You don't have any idea who I am do you?" Asked the blonde guy. I turned and smiled. "Sure I do, you're Taylor Hanson, I figured that out back at the airport" He raised his eyebrows. "And you're not screaming?" I laughed. "Nope, I've been sitting on the urge to ask for an autograph" I replied. He grinned. "Ha, ha! Wow, get a look at that building!" We pressed our noses up against the glass and peered at the school buildings. The limo pulled to a stop outside the administrative offices. I reached for my satchel and we climbed out onto the gravel driveway. I shivered. "God! It's freezing here!" Taylor nodded distractedly and glanced around at teh huge old oak trees that surrounded us. He nudged open the heavy door. "Shall we?" He asked. "We shall!" I replied
My hand shook as I rapped on the door of room 345. I could hear a loud humming from inside. I knocked again, louder. "Just a minute!" Came a loud voice. The door was thrown open by a pretty, tall girl scantily clad in a skimpy pink towel. "Uh...hi" I stammered. She grinned. "Hi, can I help you?" "Uh...I'm Cecilia Robinson...I think I'm your room mate" "Oh Shit! I forgot you were coming today" She pulled the door open wide enough for me to enter. "I'm Sasha Kinsey, this place looks like an atom bomb's gone off in it. I had a bit of a how down here last night with some friends. I surveyed the wreck of a room, before flopping into the nearest chair. "At the moment Sasha, I'm too beat to give a shit" I moaned. She grinned. "I'm just getting ready to hit the town tonight, wanna come. Girls night out?" I grinned. "Sure, why not?" She smiled. "Excellent!" I watched as she bustled around the room, trying to find her dress.
