You said your words,
They spent sometime in my head,
Spinning round and round,
With the tears that I shed.
Yuor words were plain and simple,
"We're over", "We're through",
No more us,
Just me...and you.
I wanted to believe this never happened,
That everthing was just fine,
I couldn't do that,
Knowing you weren't mine.
I knew it probably wouldn't last forever,
But your words were cold and brief,
Did it have to end like this?
With all this pain and grief?
I accept that we are over,
But your words stuck with me,
Just as a reminder
That we could never be.
