"The Child in Me" October 10, 2004. Kemushi is a character I created to represent the "child inside me". She was cameo-d in the comic Blade for Barter after I won the grand prize with her in the Seven Seas Entertainment LLC, national "Manga-fy Me!" cartooning contest. :) Comments: This piece was actually just a scribble on a piece of paper when I was bored. I didn't think it would go anywhere, but I found it so adorable that I ended up CGing it. The CGing took about 5 hours, though it was a quicker less detailed job. In the end, I feel I used too many earthy tones (reds and browns), but its really cute nevertheless. I got a lot of comments saying its a cuter, more toned-down like version of Koalla Su (Love Hina). Hmm...I'll take that as a compliment because their votes won me the MangaFy-Me Contest at www.gomanga.com .
