"Netheica: Tainted Host" August 23rd, 2003. Netheica is a character from the epic series-story of Blood and Ink, written by Huy Ho. In the story, Netheica was seduced by a foolish prince, and cast out of the city when she conceived a child. Comments: Huy Ho requested that I create this piece, among others for his story. It took about 9 hours to CG on my computer once the original sketch had been scanned. Huy loved this picture, as do I. It was the first where i tried a different way of shading and shadowing, and also the first where i used mulitiple layering for clothes and hair (The black, sheer veil was a separate layer atop the clothes). Despite how much I like this, I still don't think this image portrays the Netheica in the story. Her face is a bit *chubby* and her body is out of proportion, though the dress sort of covers this.
