Whatever's Cool With Me: Ryan, in addition to being a swell fella, does a great radio show every Thursday, 9:30-Noon.
Birdman Sound: Ottawa's best record store, mostly new and used vinyl, with a great selection of CDs as well. Rock, soul, jazz, blues, psyche, etc. John, the owner, also DJs on CKCU every Friday morning, from 9:30-13:00.
Independent Film Co-Op of Ottawa: Ever wanted to boss around volunteers in the name of "Art"? Become an independent film maker!
Scallen/Spectra Sonic Sound/Punk Ottawa: The sights, sounds, and news of Ottawa's club scene, as documented by Shawn Scallen.
Graphic Services: Based on the campus on Carleton University, an amazingly helpful and quick bunch of folks who can help you with your printing needs.
Tigersushi: France-based (but English) web site devoted to the fringier aspects of music. Punk, funk, disco, jazz, groove and mutations of those styles are examined and explained here. Great Real Audio "radio station", too (which always appears to play Stevie Wonder when I listen).
MDID Radio: One of my all-time favourite artists, My Dad is Dead, has recently added a feature to his web site that allows you to listen to streaming MP3s of almost all of his recorded output. My highest recommendation is reserved for his music.
Kempa: Canadian music loving American blog. The blog was recently revived, and had a particularily fascinating look at odd vinyl pressings which went from stuff I knew about (parallel grooves) to stuff I didn't even think was possible (vinyl with bonus material for your computer). A good read.
Pooch Cafe: Surprise! A daily comic strip that is both well-drawn and really funny. Created by the guy that used to do all the drawings in the Citizen.
