You will find here ideas, concepts and resources to develop a distributed digital universe filled with binary organisms.

Why would anyone create a copy of the universe?

All my life I've been interested in science, eager to learn the fundamental principles which govern reality.
Now I want to test some of these theories and bring them into practise.
In a way I consider it the ultimate test and another way to learn more about nature.

Although I use reality as a template it's not my intention merely to make a copy of reality.
I see it also as a means to expand reality by allowing the realisation of other possible realities.
As such it may provide an ecological alternative for tourism and a safe alternative for adventure.

Why would anyone create artificial life?

Because it's in our genes to procreate...
Creating and training simple life forms is also a good means to learn more about ourselves.
Programming and robotics will allow future generations to explore space further and inhabit more worlds than would be possible otherwise.
So basicaly I consider it an ethical alternative for biological experiments.
