Clare officially had her first cold. She handled it like a champ and didn't even whine (like her mother does!). She seems to be over it now, thank goodness.

I've been trying to take her Christmas picture for some time now, but she just isn't cooperating. She has fallen asleep twice while I tried to take it, and once she just didn't want to be photographed and made all sorts of funny faces. Oh well, I'll get it sooner or later.

Grandma Queen (my mother) is coming Tuesday, and we can't wait! She's coming for Christmas a little early to help us out with Clare. I have to work some longer hours than usual next week, and Adriana (Clare's babysitter) is going to be away.

I'm really looking forward to hosting Christmas here this year. The house is almost decorated, but I really need to finish up this weekend.

Well, I've managed to catch the evil cold that has been going around, and it looks like Mike has got it too. We're really hoping that Clare doesn't have it. I can't imagine how hard it's going to be when she's sick. Babies just shouldn't get sick - it's really not fair!

Clare is sleeping really well. She sleeps at least 10 hours each night, and still takes pretty frequent naps during the day. Mike is so proud of her - it looks like she inherited his ability to sleep, and not my tendancies toward insomnia.

She has been smiling at us non-stop lately. It's just the most radiant smile I've ever seen. I especially love it when she sticks her tongue out at us while smiling. I never thought that could be so cute.

This weekend we are meeting Shari's friends from England. We're going to have fondue (or as Mike calls it, "fon don't") at Dante's on Saturday night. We're also going to see our favorite comedian, Brian Regan, on Sunday night.

THE END.
