Salted Ground

There was a man..and the man was lost..
he was wondering around in the desert.. there wasnt anything
there but he was happy.. he didnt know he was lost ..
and he didnt know that he wasnt supposed to just
wander in the nothingness...he met other people that
were wandering around also ..ane they seemed happy
enough to him..there was nothing to walk on but sand
and there was nothing to look at but nothingness all
around him but he was happy because he was just there
in the nothingness

One day as he was walking along there was in front of
him a flower..a single little rose that was growing up
out of the sand..he had never seen a flower before so
he didnt really know what to do with it..so he sat
down and looked at it...for days on end he would look
at the flower and admire its beauty.. he would reach
out and ever so slightly he would touch it and his
happiness would magnify...soon after a little time had
passed he noticed one day that there were more flowers
coming up all around him...and they were
beautiful..they were all different colors and they
were different heights and different sizes...but they
were all so very beautiful...he wondered what he had
done to cause these others to grow here because he
wanted to continue doing whatever it was to keep the
flowers growing..but he didnt know...see he had the
flowers and he realized how much more beautiful things
were in the nothingness since the flowers came but he
didnt know how to make more flowers or how to get the
flowers to help other people...

one day as he was tending to his flowers..watering
them and nurturing them and singing to them..a shadow
fell over the man.. it was the shadow of a young
woman..he had seen people walk by before .. and he had
passed by them when he used to wander around .. but
noone had ever walked up to him...the man really didnt
know what to do so he simply smiled and asked the
young woman if she would like to have a flower..and
she timidly and with much caution sat down.. smiled at
the man..and said yes.."

as time passed by the man just could not believe the
joy that had come his way..you see he was happy in the
beginning just wandering around .. because he didnt
realize what he was missing or how unhappy he was
because things had always been this way..then he found
the flower..and his whole world just sorta changed
overnight .. and this made him so unbelievably happy
that he didnt know what to do..then somehow the flower
turned into more flowers and things were getting
better and better all the time..then the young woman
showed up and sat with him and talked with him and
told him of things near and far..and lo and behold it
turned out that she knew a whole lot about his flower
and why it became more flowers and not only this but
she knew how to make even more flowers..she also knew
stories about the flowers that were there already..she
was able to teach the man things about his flowers and
how to take care of his flower and how to get his
flower to help him in his times of trouble..

so time went on .. and the man and the young woman
grew closer and closer to one another there was a bond
there..there was comfort and ease with one
another...they became friends .. there was love
between them friendly love .. clean pure love .. and
the man didnt know anything about this either .. he
knew even less about bonding and true friendships than
he knew about the flower...

Cone day in the normal course of events something upset
the man .. and he became angry .. and he wasnt acting
lke his self..and the young woman asked him a question
..and the man didnt want to answer the question so he
told the young woman to leave and go away...and she
did...and now all the flowers have died ...
and all thats left is the nothingness...
and no matter how hard the man tries .. he just cant
get the flower to grow again...

So in the hum drum of everyday life be careful how you treat friendships, for like flowers they are fragile...with love and nuturing they can grow...or through anger die.
