MY FRIEND

You walked into my life from a different world.
Your ways and customs strange to me,
but your friendship resounded with every deed.
Your wit, your humor, a ready hug
your cup overflowing with God's unending love.

Nagging and prodding me into action,
you are there with a smile, or to walk with
me the extra mile.
You sing, you shout, and rejoice,
while guiding me along with my choice.

You study God's word and plan,
with wonder and amazement of a childlike man.
I know that God has an amazing plan,
as you grow through Christ as a man.
