To Learn to Trust

Trust is given, trust is tried,

in every little baby's cry.

From Infancy through stage two,

a baby trusts and depends upon you.

In stage two, it is plain, the lack of trust begins to gain,

As children we give it freely, knowing no doubt or no pain,

or the possibility of someone using it for their gain.

Our vision is clear not clouded yet,

by doubt, mistrust, or fear we've met.

Wouldn't it be great, to capture again this childish fate,

To love and trust openly before it's too late?

But as we grow from children to teens,

what once was given is not seen.

The trust which was given from the heart,

has been broken and taken apart.

How do we capture back our trust?

By closing our eyes and trusting with the heart.

We can gain again what was torn apart.
