MY BROKEN WINGS

My wings are broken can't you see,
there is truly nothing left of me.
When I was discouraged and in pain,
I looked to those whose love remained.

How could our love be so wrong,
When what was felt was so strong.
You were the one I looked to first.
Someone whose trust had overcome the worst.

How did you steal beneath the walls?
What weapon did you use to cause my fall?
You offered the one thing lacking in my life,
Your love and trust to withstand the strife.
Someone to help me remain strong,
Even when my life felt so wrong.

You guided my faith when I doubted,
Guided my path when my vision was clouded.
How could that dream be so wrong?
When what I felt was so strong.
