It's About Time!!
These are shots from the "Happy Promotion Dinner" aka "Happy Engagement Dinner" at
J. Alexander's restaurant in Cool Springs, TN, on Leap Day...February 29, 2004. 
I arranged for four of our good friends to meet us for a surprise dinner. 
And...after a few tears, she said "YES"!!!

What a way to start the ball rolling ....and it's a Thumb-war!!!
This is how I got things started. 
The staff at J. Alexander's was wonderful. 
Somehow, I just knew she would order a piece of cheesecake for dessert. 
After a manditory 'girls trip to the restroom', our waitress brought this out to get things rolling.
NO, I didn't really HAVE to beat her at a thumb-war to get her to say yes.
(That was our waitress standing in the background...funny, a LOT of people sort of stopped what they were doing!)
She seems rather excited about it!
...and it's a bear hug to the head...probably means yes
I'm still not sure if she has actually said "yes" at this point.
She hadn't said "Yes" at this point...instead my answer was in the form of a hug around my head! 
(I think even the other waitress is asking for a replay to see if she said yes)

She finally did say "YES"!!!  (And yes it fit, and yes I picked it out all by myself, and yes she was -and is- very pleased!)

It looks better in person...just ask her, she'd LOVE to show it to you!
