FluoroGard Properties

Nonstick
Practically all substances will not adhere permanently to a FluoroGard finish. While tacky materials may show some adhesion, the rest release easily.

Low coefficient of friction
FluoroGard generally shows coefficient of friction in the range of 0.02 to 0.10
depending on the load, sliding velocity and the particular FluoroGard coating used.

Non wetting
FluoroGard surfaces are both oleophobic and hydrophobic and as a result they are not readily wet and therefore cleaning is easy and thorough.

Heat resistance
FluoroGard coating can   operate continuously at temperature up to 260ºC and can be used for intermittent service up to 285º
C.

High dielectric strength
FluoroGard's high dielectric strength, low dissipation factor and very high surface resistivity makes up its unique electrical properties. It can also be made electro conductive and anti-static for specific application.

Cryogenic stability
Many FluoroGard coatings withstand temperature as low as -270ºC without loss of physical properties.

Chemical resistance
FluoroGard is inert to and endless list of chemicals. Only highly reactive fluorinating agents and molten alkali
metals may affect the coating.
