Information or Dehumanization

The channels keep flowing. The radio waves flood the air. The planet is slowly being engulfed in binary code forming the networks of networks of networks. This is our world of information that we�ve constructed. We are now raised to believe that all information is good information. Brainwashed by the glowing filtered reality that is emitted from the glass screens that are now the heart of the family meetings. Another ten years and family dinners in the dining room will be extinct, as if they aren�t already. In the middle of a world that�s now bombarding households with hundreds of channels, selling thousands of products, and making the masses crave their manipulation, one has to wonder if we are not bringing the world together as the propaganda boasts but that we are just creating mass confusion to be lost in and ultimately controlled like cattle.

The television itself is not an evil creature that needs to be killed like so many of the popular t-shirts and bumper stickers read. However, it is on the other end of the cables and digital signals that the devils live. Those conglomerate jean companies and drug dealing corporations. �It�s just advertising� you could say, but then one could say that �Adolf Hitler was just a man with a dream like Martin Luther King�. In the new millenium the screens spew out so many adds for their Tommy Hilfiger clothes that soon we�ll get the idea that it�s worst to burn one of their stupid fucking tags than the American Flag. Nike has all of white suburbia believing that they can all be the next Michael Jordan if they drop a few hundred dollars on a few articles of their clothing and �Just Do It�. Perhaps one of the sweetest ironies of the whole mess is in the upper middle class home of that white family whose father works for that black Hip Hop (Rap) music or television corporation. He�s making a killing off telling young white suburbanites to act black when one day he comes home to see his own 16 year old son greeting him and his wife with �What�s up my niggas?�.

As for the news and it�s so called informative media coverage, you�re not getting your information, you�re taking you�re medicine. Have you ever stopped to ask yourself why ( If in fact you do) it is that you feel that the majority of the middle east are terrorists and that any religious belief without Jesus is a terrible thought. Ask yourself why it is that if a few American tourists are killed over in Lebanon it can get endless hours of coverage when minorities here in our own country can kill whites and each other by the hundreds every day and it�s not even given attention because it�s too common. Do you think that all the hundreds if not thousands of times that as a kid you were made to pledge allegiance, that the line �One nation under god� didn�t mentally condition you to an extent? The answer is plain and simple though not a comforting one. Like plants we are cultivated on a global scale. Whether it be in cities(Farms), towns(Gardens),or on the streets(Weeds), we are grown by soaking up the media rays to be productive slaves for a world in which none of us really has a fucking clue what it is that we�re working towards. But it seems they have plenty of dreams to motivate us with. By the millions we are convinced that once we have that $200,000 house, fancy foreign car with all the gadgets, and the 2.3 kids that we will then have achieved the American dream thus making us feel complete. Maybe this is you. Maybe living the Ward fucking Cleaver life has you feeling like you�re the king of the world. I doubt it. Maybe you�re feeling like a caged animal who has locked himself/herself away in the suburban zoo way too early in life and now you can�t find the key to get out. Now you have nothing to do but to work away your life at a job you don�t really like to buy shit you don�t really want. Now suicide is staring you in the eye. I ask you this, is it really the American Nightmare that they�re selling us?

Every other automobile, phone, or computer commercial is telling us how it is so brilliantly bringing the world together. Take a look outside. Take a look at yourself. The information age that we live in has us locking ourselves in cells that we call our homes. It has us afraid to travel abroad. It has us replacing social situations with our digital fascinations. We have people bragging about how soon we won�t need to leave the house for anything. Call me crazy but I always thought prison was suppose to be punishment. Is �Bringing the world together� what they�re doing? It would seem more like that�s just a very deceiving way of making us spend longer hours on the job and more dollars on systems that can only dehumanize us in the end. Propaganda will be propaganda. If you buy into it by believing slogans like �You got to believe it�s getting better, getting better all the time�, then you are either one stupid son of bitch or just ignorant.

To bring this to an end, people can�t stay blind forever and when they do start to realize how they�re being worked like whores they are going to be pretty fucking pissed off about it. It took Rome a thousand years to fall and they didn�t have television, radio, or the Internet. If we keep our pace towards the New World Order, they say technology is speeding things up everyday.
