Health, Safety & Environment - QA/QC ITL's primary mission is to respond to its clients' requirements by continuously improving products, processes and services and by maintaining high levels of health, safety and environment, quality and integrity.HEALTH, SAFETY & ENVIRONMENT ITL is committed to take every reasonable and practical step to provide and maintain a healthy and safe place to work for every ITL employee and to ensure that the health and safety of the public and protection of the environment is not jeopardised as a result of our operations.The Management considers Safety, Health and Protection of the Environment to have equal status with, or higher than, other business objectives.Safety and Health ITL actively pursues the provision and maintenance of a safe and healthy work environment exceeding legal requirements and/or industry standards.ITL strives to eliminate foreseeable hazards, reduce the probability of occurrence and minimise the effects of incidents which may result in personal injuries, illnesses, and damage to property to a level As Low As Reasonably Practicable (ALARP).Under this commitment comprehensive training is provided and competent personnel are employed.Loss prevention is optimised through responsible and well educated management in combination with active employee involvement.Loss prevention is the direct responsibility of line managers and employees alike.This statement outlines ITL's commitment, but as Health and Safety are the responsibility of each and every employee, all employees perform their jobs properly in accordance with the ITL QESH Management System and sound working practices.Environmental Protection ITL actively pursues the provision and maintenance of an environmental protection management system in compliance with legal requirements and industry standards.To achieve this, significant attention is paid to: minimising potential worker and community exposures to harmful materials; eliminating or reducing waste generation at the source, or by recycling; addressing public health issues; protecting the air, water, and land resources; optimise energy usage by developing / implementing more efficient procedures / equipment; use of environmentally friendly materials where available and where their use is reasonably practicable. This statement outlines ITL's commitment, but as the protection of the environment is the responsibility of each and every employee, all employees must perform their jobs properly in accordance with established procedures, sound practices, and common sense. DRUG & ALCOHOL ABUSE POLICYHMC will always endeavour to maintain a safe, healthy and productive work environment for all our employees and other persons both on board our vessels or in our offices.ITL complies with applicable legislation ensuring affirmative actions to eliminate the use of alcohol and drugs and the abuse of prescribed medical substances related to any field operation.To the extent permitted by law the following shall apply with regard to the use of drugs and alcohol: no one is permitted to be in the possession of such drug and alcohol substances; during any stay on board of ITL or subcontractor vessels and any field operator it is not permitted to be under the influence of alcohol or any other substance (drugs) with negative effects; regular and scheduled testing is subject to be carried out to verify compliance with this policy, testing includes pre-employment and random testing; in case of any incident drug and alcohol testing may form part of the investigation process; ITL will actively promote implementation of this drug & alcohol policy through information and training; ITL will support individuals and if necessary assist in rehabilitation programs if a drug & alcohol personal problem is encountered. |
