DRUG & ALCOHOL ABUSE POLICYHMC will always endeavour to maintain a safe, healthy and productive work environment for all our employees and other persons both on board our vessels or in our offices.ITL complies with applicable legislation ensuring affirmative actions to eliminate the use of alcohol and drugs and the abuse of prescribed medical substances related to any field operation.To the extent permitted by law the following shall apply with regard to the use of drugs and alcohol:
no one is permitted to be in the possession of such drug and alcohol substances;
during any stay on board of ITL or subcontractor vessels and any field operator it is not permitted to be under the influence of alcohol or any other substance (drugs) with negative effects;
regular and scheduled testing is subject to be carried out to verify compliance with this policy, testing includes pre-employment and random testing;
in case of any incident drug and alcohol testing may form part of the investigation process;
ITL will actively promote implementation of this drug & alcohol policy through information and training;
ITL will support individuals and if necessary assist in rehabilitation programs if a drug & alcohol personal problem is encountered.
