Here is my challenge for this olympic year, consolidating
my take off leg's pattelar tendon.
CHRONOLOGY
1998
Despite a forced rest from September to Décember and,
a big mistake from my side, having accepted somes injections made 4 times
by doctors of a big, famous italian football ( soccer ) team , I decide to
undergo an opération with the Professor Imbert in Saint Etienne ( France ).
1999
On the 8th of January , I undergo the opération that
consists in cleaning the lower part of the patellar tendon in order to remove
the nondule guilty of my pains. After 3 months of convalescence and 1 month
of muscular reinforcement with the doctor Burrachi in Monaco, I start the
athlétics trianing. On the 19th of July, victory in the High jump contest
of Luxembourg breaking my personal record 1 m 92. On the 1st of August , victory
and new personal record during the French championships in Niort jumping 1
m 94. Since when, a pain on the upper part of the tendon rises. Impossible
to fight during the World championships qualifications in Sévilla at the end
of August, I perform in the pain an honorable result of 1 m 89. I finish the
season at the African Games in Johannesburg, in Septembre obtaining a silver
medal with 1 m 85. After somes cares and rest for 2 months , making a physical
test using computer with the doctor Burrachi, a detection of weakness during
the effort forces me to do a new knee's medical check up. Diagnostic : partial
tearing ( 75 % ) of the patellar tendon in its upper part. The origin of this
tear was caused by the injections made in the end of 98 that fragilized the
tendon. The lower opérated part being stronger than the upper part, this last
one has started to be teared.
2000
Professeur Imbert recommend to reverse the patellar
tendon because it's the upper side is the most requested during the take off
of the flop and to consolidate the weak side. The opération took place on
Tuesday 11 January 2000, at the "Clinique Mutualiste de la Digonnière" in
Saint Etienne ( France ). This will needs 6 month of convalescence. My challenge
: comeback on the top level in 2001.
