| The Rules | |||
| The Rules of PTIW are Simple, we have no complex warning system intended to intimidate you. As such, you break the rules once more than I care to stand for and you're out. However you'll find I'm an easy going guy and I'm not going to treat you like a child. - We expect your RP's/Promo's to Vary from time to time, If you write the most descriptive, and funny, interesting and well thought out promo's and Flash's day in day out (asside from gaining recognition for doing so) you will no doubt be succesful, however... If for example your Promo's are what we consider to be slightly better than your opponents, but while every Post you've made is an in ring rant, or a locker room interview, and your opponent has produced a range of Flash's ranging from a back stage meeting with an interviewer, to an off camera birthday party for his brothers best friend, you may not pick up the W. My reasons for this are simple, I do enjoy very much reading a Roleplay that holds my attention, and makes me laugh, but if every one of those Roleplays takes place in the same environment it does get stale, I'm not saying you can't have your character appear in his favourite Haunts, just not all the time. - We expect a minimum of 1 role play for a match, there's no limit. If you're not active for what ever reason (school, illness, vacations) do let me know, if I book you and you don't roleplay I will Job You, and not book you in another card till I hear from you (for your own sake, doesn't make my life any easier having a wrestler out of action obviously). On a similar note, even if you're not fighting that week, we do expect you to roleplay regarding your wrestlers personal life, do remember you're controlling a 'person' not a machine that ceases to exit when it's not fighting. So you don't have a match on the card, what did you do with your time off... - Regarding our Arc's, if we intend for you to lose to someone due to interference or DQ, we will let you know (unless it's a big suprise arch), and we will have the RP's you sumbitted for that match, count toward another Match in the Arch we develop from that Interference/DQ etc. I can assure you, I know how disappointing it is to loose in a match you feel you should have won, but regardless of match out comes, nothing goes unnoticed in PTIW, your hard work will ensure your wrestler a solid Story Line. - When you submit your application to PTIW, you will be given a match against either another new comer, or a NPC Character (Jobber) controlled by myself or one of the other members of staff. This is purely Assesment, We want to know how good you are. - After your assesment match, you will be entered into the PTIW Roster as a 'Superstar', if we feel you need a little help developing, you will be assigned a mentor. This is not meant to Patronize you, you've been accepted into PTIW because we believe you have potential, we want to unlock that potential, for the benefit of you, and the benefit of PTIW. - Do not demand a title shot in a roleplay, period. If you feel you deserve a title shot, talk to me. If I feel you do, then you will be given the opportunity to sumbit a challenge, via the Card results, which means you write the challenge and e-mail it to the Staff, Details of how to do that will be on the home page. Your challenge may or may not be granted, however... if I've requested you send a challenge in, then it's because I have a plan. Don't be disappointed, like I said earlier, hard work does not go unrecognized in PTIW. - Do not flame the writing staff on the forums if you feel something was unjust in a card, talk directly to the staff in whatever instant messenger it is that particular member of staff is using, or send me an e-mail at [email protected]. However remember, that even Shawn Michaels Didn't win every match when he was in his prime.... ok so I'm getting old. Um, Stone Cold maybe? - Our Card Structure will be as follows, One show Per week on a Monday Evening, the RP deadline will be on the home Page by Wednesday Evening Along with the Card. Then a Pay Per View Event on the Last Sunday of every Month. for which the card will develop over Time. - As with the challenges, there will be a method of submitting player written Segments to go into the results. We cannot guarantee anything you write will be in the results, unless you discuss it with myself prior to submitting it. - Do not use other wrestlers cotrolled by other handlers in your role plays without their permission, doing so will forfeit the match. The old Midget Trick is permittable, but don't over use it, I'm not agrudged to jobbing people who beat up midgets twice a week. - Everything on the Roleplaying Board, is in character, baring administrative posts made by the staff. Any OOC Comments should be made on the OOC Board. In roleplays, avoid using insider terms, such as jobber, push etc, Remember that when you watch WWE, everything is supposed to appear real, under no circumstances should you make fun of Spelling Mistakes (which will cost points when it comes to deciding the winners of matches, poor spelling (unless part of a wrestlers character, such as showing an accent or speach defect) is inexcusable, there are spell checkers on our forums now also.) or indiscribably bad html tagging. Also avoid using internet slang such as LOL or WTF on the Rp board, and keep profanity to a minimum, anyone who knows me, knows I swear my ass off, but part of Role playing is keeping it believeable, and you wouldn't turn on a WWE show and see Brock Lesnar screaming Profanity at his opponent in a promo without being censored... or fired. Repeated incidents of poor judgement on the role playing forum will cause me to ban your IP from posting on the RP board and have you submit all your roleplays in e-mail to me for approval, and frankly I don't want to do that, and I haven't had to yet. Finally, I respect that people who Take Part in E-feds do it for fun, and I met some of my best friends through e-fedding. So I do want you to have fun, but I also want for PTIW to be the great fed it was back in the day. I'm sure we'll find a balance ;). |
