Materials:
1or more whistling petes a.k.a. singing rose, whistling rose, whistling rick.
Pliers
1 piece of paper
Step 1: Take your pete and squeeze the pete and the bottom to release the plug powder.
Step 2: Continue squeezing the pete all over until all the powder is cracked up.
Step 3: Dump all the powder on the paper, you only want the white or grey kind, throw away the orange or other plug powder.
Step 4: Put the powder into a salute or a container for keeping.
I have found that Phantoms type of whistling pete is best. It is called "whistling phantom" and has twice the powder of reguler petes.
Whistle mix is a good fairly stable combustable powder. It is still one of my favorite powders to work with. Trusty.
