Materials:
Piece of sprinkler pipe 1/3 in ID. At least 3 to 4 inches long.
Explosive powder generally slow burning powder is used.
Durham's Water Putty.
Fuse 5in min.
Nail
PVC glue
Step one: make a batch of water putty and make a � to 1 inch end plug, let dry.
Step two: take the nail and make a small fuse hole in the middle of the pipe. Add fuse
Step three: fill with powder about 2/3 to 7/8 to the top.
Step four: add a small ball of tissue and then add more water putty, let it dry to total hardness.
Coat the pipe in a few layers of PVC glue to make it harder. Or you can tape it up.
Using the Pipe charge these are pretty safe if used right. I advise against using bbs or nails to create more shrapnel. Light away from people and things like that. This could kill you if you get hit in the head with shrapnel. Use extreme caution.
