The 1999 I.H.S. Football Team was blessed with an amazing amount of speed at every position. In Coach Fazio's last year...a 1-7 record does not tell the real story. With Coach Bucci retiring and Coach Baker moving up from the Junior Varsity Team...things are beginning to "fall into place". Joe Madigan, QB, gained valuable experience in Coach Faz's wide open offense and he had numerous targets in Jeff Welch, Eamonn Trotter, Reid Palmer, Rynell Rucker Scott Hornbrook and Matt Fiia.
The real magic took place in the weightroom following this season. Led by Nick Thayer, Jeff Welch, Chris Demo, Ryan Cummings, Jon Ross, Rudy, Nick Kanellis, Tony Vogt, Ben Hutchens and Matty Telage...the seriousness of I.H.S. Football got "kicked up a notch"!!! |
