| DESCRIZIONE DEL SITO: PALAZZO STRASSOLDO Il palazzo fu donato dal Conte Giovanni di Gorizia ai Conti Strassoldo nel 1460. Non � nota la data esatta della costruzione. Fu probabilmente ristrutturato fino a conseguire l'aspetto attuale di architettura nobile e semplice risalente al tardo '500. Nel 1836 vi prese dimora il Duca d'Angouleme, per i monarchici Luigi XIX, che poi fu sepolto nella cripta della Castagnevizza. Ospit� inoltre il Maresciallo Radetzki che aveva sposato una Contessa Strassoldo . Il palazzo conteneva moltissime opere d'arte che andarono disperse durante la I guerra mondiale. |
| SITE DESCRIPTION: STRASSOLDO PALACE. The palace was given from the Count Giovanni from Gorizia to the Strassoldo Counts in 1460. The real building date of the palace is not known. Probably, in the late sixteenth century, has been renovated till reaching the current look of noble and simple building. In 1836 was the residence of the D'Angouleme Duke, ......., that was buried in the Castagnevizza crypt. Furthermore, Strassoldo Palace gaved hospitality to Radetzky marshal which have married a Strassoldo Countess. The palace held a lot of works of art which went lost during the world war I. |
