I close my eyes, and you are here, Right before my eyes, You look at me, so lovingly, And before I realise it, You are not there! I close my eyes. and I can feel you, As you hug me to your heart, You held me so dear, Yet, when I turn to you, in fear, You are not there! I feel your presence all around me, Yet I cannot see you, The sound of your voice, still rings in my ears, But when I call out to you, You are not there! I trip, I fall, I hurt myself, You are not there to lift me up, I am tired and look around for help, But you don't give me a hand, When I need you, you are not there! Where do I go in search of you? Whom shall I ask where to find you? When will I ever find you? No matter how hard I search, You are not there! I am tired, please don't let me down, Give me back my smile, Take away my frown, You can't just go away like that, For you're right here in my heart.
