The Backyards Hash. - Run #467
September 20, 2008

It was a smallish group that gathered in the Lockside School parking lot - no BLABs as we were warned to be at the circle at 3:30 Sharp! No visitors, no virgins? well a virgin Hare it could be noted - very few females too Beaver Fever notes.

But Circle-up we did and stridently set off for destinations only a Virgin Hare could imagine enough of. It was a tour of the good homes and gardens of Sunnymead at first then the back-yarding began - through one of a red dress hasher - with extra beer too (thanks! D) - though some thought it the Beer Check it was much too early - then through that splendid backyard and into Mount Doug's own. Spilling out onto Blinkensop and heading to town too! (how long a trail will this be . . . ?)

The hash trail lead to a small log cabin, oft missed as commuters and shoppers speed by - and through the front gate, and into the area's largest - least used backyard we got onto the Lockside trail - and headed south toward town - again! and away from the start!! But
soon the hare, noting the walkers keeping up and sometimes passing the running rabble (with the exception of Stroke). MCAF took pity and started to direct some merciful short cuts. We proceeded with caution through even more better homes and gardens neighborhoods - with a beer check in mind. The BC was found in the wood - on trial between more back yards and in view of children at play. Our little band gathered to enjoy the suds - some enjoying the remains of last hash's Anarchist Brew as well.

We trotted off to the beginning then to a small circle in MCAFs' own back yard to circle  up and meet the true BLAB of the evening, Stoolie - who had been cheering the visiting  Oxford team in their defeat of the James Bay at a freindly game of rugby.

The Virgin Hare was down-downed for his backyardly trail, Various charges were laid,  over enthusiastic speed while participating in a running event to one, BLAB to Stools, Wanker of the Week to Stroke, everyone eventually charged I'm sure.

Then ladies departed, one escorted as well, five remaining hashing men retired to the
kitchen to tuck into more suds and the great eats Cocksy had prepared. There were left
overs - I think MCAF will be having Chilli and Rice for lunch for the rest of the month.

Thanks for a great trail and your hospitality MCAF.

On-On
