The Icy Oaklands-Fernwood Hash and AGPU. - Run #446

December 1st, 2007

An icy wind blew through the Oaklands valley that afternoon . . . 1:58pm and a man, - a man of military bearing - cocky self-assured, yet, alone with a puzzled look about him. Looking for his rendezvous. Had the orders been wrong? Where were they? - that rag tag group of rebels. He'd had some operations with them before, but communications lines were unreliable. He might have been cocky at one time. But now? - perhaps a-fallen.

More confusion, Beaver arrived just after 2, then Itchy and Flops, Deep Shit, and more, some quoted the VH3 web posting "2 pm at Oaklands School" others later quoted an email "Dec 18, 2007 at 2:30pm" wrong date - but was the time right? The icy wind blew and even occasional group hugs didn't hold back the numbing cold. Then Itchy, noticed that the recently renovated (it wasn't like that when I was a boy) Oakland's School now had a community center attached and its warm halls were open to the rabble! A few ventured across - then in, soon all were enjoying the warmth. Itchy even had time to get cosy and chat-up one of the local girls.

Then a regular BLAB, Stroke alone, arrived, fresh like a spring day, or that was only his newly laundered pants? - who got close enough to detect that smell and lay charges later? The Hares finally arrived back, and Double Hump got the circle and intro's going as the real BLAB, Stoolie arrived, having loitered around another school long enough to have been asked to move along.

The hare had laid the trail in orange flower and provided the walkers with a beautifully highlighted route in a map book. They promptly pocketed the map and headed off in the generally suggested direction, chatting, exploring and taking random supposed short cuts and almost reuniting with the runners at the beer check, but just catching suds, before headed back for Religion at the start.

The hares were sung to and down-downed; Charges were laid, a very recent double nickel birthday of a rather sweet young looking bride to be (more incongruous information); Dump on a Stump, for long absence; My cocks a fallen, Little Blow and Digger for using non-hash names on the hash; Stroke Alone, for fastidious personal haberdashery and being late because of it; Floppy for stalwart loyalty, taking one for the team rather than charge a fellow walker; Little Blow Peep was charged as Wanker of the Week for trying to hide a significant birthday.

There undoubtedly other charges to lame to remember but those not charged at religion were later down downed at the AGPU probably for overly polite behaviour on a hash.

The majority of the pack headed On-In for pizza, special hot chocolate and the AGPU at Premie's which was facilitated by a printed agenda!!? Results of erections to be announced by the new mismanagement.
