Five months after Stoolie
first introduced us to his mountain (who could
forget the Mossy Patch) we returned for more adventures. Just like the first time the weather was wet and the mountain hung over us like a huge dark cloud. Sixteen hashers showed up including Robert of Guam and Mangina who is at UVIC and from the Hogtown Hash. Also returning from Britain was the Penalty Box.
We had been led to believe there were "little people out there" but what we got on the run was mushrooms and slugs devouring the flour. The trail was up and more up. That's what you get when you are going up a mountain. Of course Stroke Alone was the FRB but on this hash he was accompanied by Robert of Guam. For a little guy he can motor. The BC was high up the mountain with what would have been an excellent view if it wasn't cloudy. The hare was with the walkers so we spent awhile searching for the beer. BUB found it hidden well in the bushes and we were once again content. The run back was down, down, down which was a foreshadow of what the RA had in store for us.
At the finish we discovered that Kitty Licker had been pursuing us the entire run. I think he likes that as he always arrives 45 minutes after the start time. A true BLAB. At the circle the RA Double Hump proceeded to give just about everyone a down-down. Most notable of these was Plumber's Mate having to drink out of her brand new fire engine red running shoes. The on-afters were at the Loghouse Pub and just in time as the rain started to get heavy as we left the circle. It was a memorable time and I left wondering does it always rain on Stoolie Mountain.
