It was a cold day with a biting wind and hint of snow in the air as the pack gathered at Fleming Beach for the Free Your Ass Off Hash in honour of the winter Olympics in Turin. Deep Shit laid a challenging trail through Macaulay Point Park and managed to confuse everyone including himself.
The pack competed vigorously for coveted loonies by answering questions about Canadian gold medals at the Olympics. Preemie, Double Hump and Digger knew most about Canuck medallist and obviously have their priorities right. Everyone froze their asses off in fine Canadian form! Double Hump seemed right at home in the stockades at the English Inn. Makes you wonder what he was really doing on his recent vacation!
The packed enjoyed a beer on a scenic beach at Saxe Point Park. Two scuba divers were slightly surprised to find a pack of hashers drinking beer when they emerged from the ocean.
Stoolie snapped the pack into line as RA extraordinaire. Stroke observed the master in action and dreamed of the day when he could control the unruly mob with such ease.
Mike the Virgin told a raunchy joke and downed his beer in fine form. Deep Shit was downed as the hare and was completely mystified by Digger's complaints about the beer being on ice. Digger sometimes forgets his Canadian roots and the need for cold beer no matter what the temperature. Deep Fried Dick was visiting from the new Kamloops Hash and received Wanker of the Week for missing the beer check. It was great to the see the old boy back with his mother hash!
Preemie regaled the pack with a raunchy song after much coaxing from BUB and much abuse from the pack. Hope he doesn't plan on a career as a lounge singer! Everyone retired to Four Mile for excellent food and more beer.
PS - Deep Shit is waiting for the Olympic Committee to quit harassing Vancouver pizza joints and ask the State of Washington to stop using the Olympic name for their mountains!
